As someone who likes the idea of Sea of Thieves but doesn't have the patience nor XBOX friends to get together to play it, I am happy you are running through some of the quests on stream. Very enjoyable!

I love that y'all are playing this, but it also makes me want to exit out of this window as quickly as possible. Maybe have everyone spend literally 5 minutes with the game before starting?

Great stream! I went back to Sea of Thieves when the anniversary update launched (seriously $1 for 3 months of gamepass is pretty nice) and have had a bunch of fun with it. More so with friends than solo, but still fun solo.

If this keeps going and all the crew learn all the mechanics a little better than this could be a really great feature.

I honestly thought Vinny going to fix Dan's headphones was a bit to take his mic away after those rat questions. Love ya Dan but woof.

They're doing this feature because they played it last week and really enjoyed it.

I'm not particularly interested in this game but in true GBE fashion it was still extremely extremely entertaining to watch. I love how perfectly you all balance each other out. All my favorite content these days is Abby/Alex/Dan/Vinny, you four are the best! Each one of you is a treasure! Thanks!

I don't ever comment on videos, this may be my first time actually, but I'm doing so to balance out the naysayers. I don't have any interest in playing Sea of Thieves but I really enjoyed last week's video so when I saw this in the upcoming lineup I excitedly told others on a Discord server I'm in. And this video just makes me excited to see more.

My only real complaint (and this could carry to many, though not all, videos here) is that I wish they didn't ignore story content or ignore mechanics. Often it's because the explanation that it's not fun for people to watch as you read gameplay tips or go through dialogue but it's usually when you may fumble at how to do something or where to go in a game that people get frustrated, not because you took the time to learn the game. It wasn't so bad here, just a more general comment. And the story stuff could be fun to feel more engaged with what was going on. There's some great videos/series where you're all invested in what's going on and I think that often helps carry the videos.

But perhaps that's somewhat irrelevant here because admittedly some of the fun is just screwing around and that did make for some of the more entertaining bits. I hope my thoughts are seen as constructive. I look forward to more videos in this series (and the other series you all put out).

And how could you not predict Dan was going to trick you all to go for the treasure? He's kind of a quiet genius in screwing everyone over.

Alex it makes no sense for you to stay on the ship, if a group comes there's no way you will win 4v1, you might as well go with your team and have fun. Just try to park closer to the islands, you can do it.

I'm one of the biggest fans of your shenanigans Dan but you need to find a better balance between screwing around and paying attention to help your team it started to annoy even me.

**Also next time Dan leaves you should all vote him in the brig.

I can't believe Microsoft paid Giant Bomb to stream Sea of Thieves.

@vinny@alex@ybbaaabby Just FYI for next time but you can dock any row-boat you find onto the back of your ship. Just row it up to the back and you should see a prompt.

It's really useful for ferrying treasure back and forth without being eaten by sharks, and a bit quicker than swimming. :)

Was bummed to see Jeff (Bakalar) did not make a return after the Playdate. Especially as his replacement in Dan seemed rather uninterested for 80 percent of this. Otherwise, I really enjoyed this new feature. Look forward to more!

Oh, shit! I'm a minute and 30 in and I'm already in tears. Dan feels left out of pirate role playing, so he puts a hand over one eye. I'm still laughing just thinking about it.

it's amazing how many giantbomb features I have been utterly uninterested in and yet I still consider my subscription worth the price

Missed the opportunity to call this "Salty Beasts".

This is awesome! That playdate was fun to watch, and I'm stoked to see if thisseries (sea-ries?) takes off! As someone that doesn't have a way to play this game yet, it's especially fun to watch them learn the mechanics as they go. The only piece of advice I'd give is that it doesn't seem like there's much purpose in having someone stay with the ship. I imagine they've realized. Anyway, this and crime crew are both great. It's fun to have the whole east crew on features together.

I did not enjoy the recent playdate. Personally I find this game so aggressively boring and uninteresting that not even the Beast Crew could make it fun. Even watching those guys play it bored me to tears. So seeing them do an entire series with this boredom in digital form bums me out, because that ist a lot of content I will never watch and those guy's time will be used making this feature instead of a more interesting one. Pity.
