That look that Jeff gives at 5:40 is the look of pure bafflement and anguish. And I love that Alexis smiled during that whole sequence.

Hey, Vinny and I have the same model of Leatherman.

I used to love how in Streets of Rage 2 when you get really close to a dude and do the Grand Uppaah, he'd hit like 10 times in one uppercut. Grand indeed.

Also when I was a kid playing this game, I could have sworn he was saying "GRAB THE PAW."

Good times.

Same on both counts. So satisfying when you get the full combo hit.

And hell, I'll always hear it as grab the paw.

Oh god Drew was a longboarder. I really used to hate the longboarders on my college campus. They all gave off that "yo check me out brooooooooo look how casual I am as I land-surf by you really loudly and quickly and look how it's like I'm not paying attention at allllllllllll broooooooooooo hah hah hahsee you at band practice." That was just the vibe they all gave off. Drew doesn't seem like that guy, but that's been my experience with longboarders so far in life.

While I think the soundtrack in Streets of Rage 2 is pretty great, I might have to fall in favor of Revenge of Shinobi, if only for that boss music.

I prefer the first Streets of Rage, but then again, that's the one I played when I grew up.
But man, that cop special with the bazooka and machinegun.

I always thought Max was French because it sounded like he said "Au revoir!" when he dropkicked...

Also I always forget how BALLS OUT weird this game gets. Like you're fighting your way through street toughs and then, out of NOWHERE, "HAVE SOME ALIENS!!"
