Fire Emblem: Three Houses was also pretty muddy, but I'm just glad that the performance and load times aren't awful like they were on Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. The performance is still not amazing, but it's at least better.

I'm really enjoying this game, but it is almost purely for fans of FE: Three Houses and musou games. If you aren't in the center of that Venn diagram, this may be a tough sell for you.

I just started playing Persona 5 Strikers from the Steam Sale and I was kinda surprised how much story and voice acting and general fan service there is. I'm still pretty bored with the gameplay but even that is just oozing with Persona-ness that you can tell they put a ton of thought into making these games where you hit X 5 times then push Y. It's kinda crazy

The main character is voiced? That's a nice touch.

Dumped my cart and playing on Ryujinx at 40-60 at 2360p, Switch games sure feel better without that hardware limitation.

This game still kinda looks like an early PS3 game. The amount of pop in and muddy textures is quite high and where once on a time we were dreaming of seeing 3000 enemies at once on the screen seems like it will forever stay a dream. Instead we get a heavy fog.

Killing a buttload of enemies at the same time is something i definitly see the appeal in and i do think that slowly but surely conquering the map is enjoyable. But it just doesn't seem like Koei Tecmo is all that interested in diverting from the standard they set a few consoles ago. Not sure how well these games sell, and how much of a factor the IP's are in that, but i feel like a decently sized indie studio or bigger could look at this, start from scratch, and make something that feels more modern, yet still lets you smash hundreds of enemies at once with big attacks.
