A Nintendo Direct just for my perversions.

I do hope a general Direct is in the cards within the next three months, but as mentioned in the show most of Nintendo's year has been sorted.

The only big, near-term question marks I can think of are the revised release date for Advance Wars Re-Boot Camp, Metroid Prime 4 proof-of-life, and if Bayonetta 3 is really coming out in 2022 or not.

Nintendo has given Geoff Keighly nothing for a few years now, but I can see Metroid Prime 4 or The Sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild popping up at The Game Awards. If so, maybe the rest of Nintendo's year are single-game-focused Directs (i.e. Splatoon 3, Pokemon Scarlet/Pokemon Violet, Bayonetta 3) and social media announcements.

The Twitter poll thing is kinda weird. E3 has been notoriously awful for PC gaming, so I'm not sure why anyone would think the Steam Next Fest is associated with that. I would have voted no on that poll even though I played dozens of demos on Steam.

@avioto: I think that depends a bit in what era that mindset was formed and how close you have been following E3 adjacent coverage in the last couple of years. In Grubb's bubble (in which I would loosely place myself) E3 basically means anything happening the couple of weeks of time frame.

You are not wrong though, it was addressed by Grubb himself that some replied, that they have no idea what he is talking about

Sonic 3's soundtrack is just as good as the other classic games, but now I understand why they changed the mid-boss music because those "Woo!" sound effects did sound like the King of Pop. Now I know it really was.

I think the last two years the Steam Demo thing was directly associated with Geoff's event.

Also not sure how E3 is awful for PC gaming when 99% of the games shown are coming to PC and PC gets the best version of everything too.
