All the talk of guns and child safety at school makes me so glad I live in the UK where this is not an issue. After the Dunblane Shooting guns and especially handguns were made so hard to get it has thankfully never happened again. This is a very odd game and made for a very odd stream. Good but odd.

Loved this game when it came out. It's... not exactly a good game, but nostalgia makes up for it.

I asked for this game one christmas! If you feed the blob a ketchup jellybean he is paralyzed! After discovering this and losing my games progress (bc yeah this fat blob is just stuck like this) I immediately tried to do it again. To this day I still have not been able to get that blob to eat it again. On emulators too! I still say this game is great even though my lil stupid kids brain couldn't beat it either.

Why isn't Vinny finishing that Johnny Mnemonic game?

I was subbed to the Lego magazine as a kid, man the 90s dioramas they did were fantastic.

Vinny, you should check to make sure the Hatchimal you got is legitimate. When the craze for them was at its highest, a lot of cheap knockoffs were created and sold, and some of them caused fires. Just a suggestion since the thing broke down (I don't know if that's common or not, but my niece sure enjoyed her's last year).

To counter Dan’s “I played what limited games I had”, I ASKED for this game because I saw it “covered” in Nintendo Power and some “kids morning show” on Nickelodeon. When “covered” was more blatantly just advertisements.

I did stick with it and the real finicky pixel level movement (that damn HUGE trampoline jump back up) and could get most of the Earth treasure but could never get past the falling cherries on Blobonia.

I’m truly amazed they didn’t switch to another game after an hour - Vinnys dedication and patience are both quite admirable.

Heh. I recorded the first season of Pokemon to VHS, in order, without commercials. Did I ever rewatch them? Fuck no.

Since Vinny said he never finished it, maybe they should play that other Boy and his Blob game, sometime.

It's weird to me how games like this still have points. Because, no matter what the genre, "points" were a thing you got while playing videogames.

Even RPG/adventure games like Quest for Glory or Star Trek had scores.

But on a serious note, every child is different. Sometimes some kids might save their money or spend it on something worthwhile. Some kids will spend it on 40 boxes of peeps. While it's their money and theirs to waste, throwing out boxes of old peeps while the kid is vomiting a few pounds of rainbow marshmallows can be one unfortunate outcome.

But hey, that can also be a learning experience I suppose.

Loved this video! I thought the humour was great throughout. Please, please do those obscure Bart Simpson games next. Those were the games I was i shackled with as a little kid.

The game was good, concept-wise but yeah, it controlled like total shit for some reason.

I also always love how much patience Vinny has and how little Dan has.

Abby's issue with the local community makes sense, but adding phones and social media and the internet doesn't really alleviate it. Andre is still around and will still steal your packages if you don't have a phone, but the internet just allows a million Andres to try and get your number without any fear of legal or social repercussions.

I'm only 25, but straight-up fuck everything about social media, Facebook, Twitter, etc. And for the record nobody can read a map anymore. Google Mapsing something and looking at the dot is not at all the same as trying to figure out where you are when you're eight cities over from where you live and blasting down a highway at 11pm, hungry and tired and pissy. So much of life has become automated in a way that doesn't solve any real problems, but invents a whole slew of new ones.

I liked "old fogey talk". :D I also liked guessing at what Abby would be saying when she's an old fogey in 20 years.
