I hate the way this wrapped up, the game that is, what a complete waste of everyone's time.

The first game ended on a huge downer but didn't feel like bullshit nonsense, this one even for being as uninteresting as it was couldn't have ended more poorly.

Loved watching the duders play through it though!

I kinda dug the 90's Clive Barker-esque, X-Files/Millenium, industrial rock atmosphere that this game gave off, you don't see much like that past the early 2000's.

Besides that this game seems like total bullshit. I cannot imagine playing this without a guide. I mean 80% of the stuff they did not one would have ever guessed except by random clicking on every item that turned white. Glad I was more into Lucasarts adventure games and not Sierra.

Aside from the portal and some of the passwords, it's pretty much just "use all the things on all the other things".

Jesus christ Alex, let Vinny be Vinny. We're here to see the entertainment he brings - if that means the stupid puzzle nobody cares about takes a little longer so be it, it's not like we're here to see the oh so scintillating conclusion to this game.

They have to have run out of time and/or budget when it comes to the two "endings", right? I mean, what the fuck, the rest of the game was kind of okay in a b-movie way, but the endings are just the dumbest shit ever.

Great that Jeff was back for the finale, it was really funny to watch how into it he got at times.

Now onwards to the next train wreck FMV game!

I think Jeff mentioned Night Trap in this video. I never played it but it seems to get mentioned quite often. I would really like to see a GBE Playdate of Night Trap. I just watched a couple of YouTube videos, it looks kind of amazing. Not really interested in playing it myself, though.

This game is amazing. Puzzle of the Flesh is an unsung masterpiece of interactive media. That anyone can look at it and completely miss it's intentionally cheesy, b-movie horror comedy is the real puzzle. Comedy is hard to do. It's especially hard to do consistently. Look at the piles of hot garbage all over the internet for examples of failed funny. Now look again at this game with the dialogue, its delivery, the shots, the cuts, etc. You can't just do that by accident, especially as often as this game did. Like, "it's the 90s" or "it's an FMV game" is the dumbest excuse for not being able to comprehend what's in front of you. Phantasmagoria 2 is a treasure.

I knew it. All along, Curtis was the flesh puzzle. Just not in the way we expected.

As a sys admin, I guess it only makes sense that one of the final puzzles involves patching some alien ethernet cable with alien glop.

This has been an entertaining series, but it can be really annoying when you guys are talking over the characters. I'm not here for the story by any means, but I'd like to at least experience the game a little so the jokes have context.

The game definitely has that 90s-era late-night cable vibe. The only thing missing was Shannon Tweed.

I actually really liked most of the game, right up until the end. I'm even willing to forgive the flesh puzzle, but that ending :(

Also, found a reel of all of the possible deaths. It seems that GBeast got most of them.

I agree, you guys were doing well before with this, but now most of the scenes with dialogue are basically useless because someone's cracking a joke while the characters talk, so you miss the whole point of the scene. You guys might be able to hear the game audio in your headphones, but we can't while watching when you speak over it.

Watching this back, I actually quite like how they foreshadowed Curtis being a rat based clone with his weird fascination with Blob.

Fun fact Paul Warner is played by the guy who voiced Samos the Green Sage from the Jak and Daxter games.

Also Curtis' actor is apparently a really Shakespearean stage actor and Trevor is a professor of drama at the University of Hawaii

Rewatching this, I have to wonder - did they throw that insane puzzle in after realising they don't have a proper ending in mind, and hoped that people would just drop off there? I don't see how you could work that puzzle out without an insane amount of trial and error (the wire guides barely even match the colours of the actual wires for Chrissake!), and both endings just end rather than conclude. What a weird game.

Turning to a walkthrough if you get stuck is understandable, but just reading it step by step makes for a not great video.

That weird "Nyen!" sound that Space Invaders clone makes is a noise Trevor makes in the cafe in an earlier part...also they confuse Natural Born Killers for Reservoir Dogs with that "cross country killing spree" comment...

I have watched this too many times...

Alex "instructing" Vinny on the final puzzle is the most frustrating thing I've ever seen. And he was so excited at the idea of a "flesh puzzle"!
