Really wish the podcast player had a resume feature like the video player. I can't count how many times I've accidentally closed the window the podcast is in and have to scrub through the podcast to find where I was.

I'm relieved that Jeff finally realized that the digital distribution of console games is fucked up right now and buying all digital in a console environment is a pretty bad move at the moment. It sucks he had to realize it how he did, but his points were all absolutely true.

The prices are out of whack, the download speeds are disgustingly horrible, and hard drive space is still a problem. He is absolutely right in that stores have to push boxed units out so they can price them down, while they can rot in digital stores forever without a real incentive to change the price.

Xbox.com is selling some Ghost Recon game for 20 dollars while GameStop (and other stores) have them used for 1.99. Stuff like this has to change before this "digital revolution" hits the consoles.

Does anyone else miss the music for the advertisement bits?

So Blitzball as a game isn't that bad but the way it's introduced is fucked. It gives you the tutorial then like 20 minutes of standard FFX gameplay then throws you into a literally unwinnable match. Then you never have to do it again. It's a terrible introduction to a pretty mediocre mini game.

Can we please get Dan to write all of the decks for the site?

I wouldn't say its is unwinnable. I have won it several times, but that is mostly due to luck and me knowing what to do. Just Jecht Shot and play keep away.

But, yeah, it is pretty unfair. I guess, it makes some sense story-wise. They are the best team and you are the worst. It shouldn't be a cakewalk, but Jesus...

They briefly mention the cosmetic micro-transactions in the The Last of Us, but I'm not sure that they noticed that it also has both guns and perks as micro-transactions. These cannot be unlocked in any manner through gameplay. There are four weapons and eight perks that would cost $16 to purchase. I feel like since TLOU is such a darling of the game community right now that this somehow gets overlooked, but it's pretty much bullshit. Can you imagine if Call of Duty or Battlefield charged for weapons or perks? People would go nuts.

I really enjoy TLOU, but damn is that some really shitty business practices, especially for a rerelease.

MGS ENDURANCE RUN WITH DAN AND DREW DO IT

This might be my new favorite episode of the bombcast and the wood working with Will Smith and the Snider was pretty good earlier this year. Talking about Riff Raff, spiders, Blitzball, burying liquor for a concert, the MGS series very briefly. If ever there was an ideal bombcast, this may be it. If only they talked about space pizza again.

@dark_lord_spam: Oh yes I've seen this before. As a fan of RiFF RAFF and Game Informer, I found this incredibly awkward to where I just couldn't continue. It was so clearly a bad idea haha. That said, I'm happy to hear the behind the scenes account from Dan and how he excused himself from RiFF's show when he's the one who contacted him.

Otherwise, did anyone else pick up on how none of the guys seem to touch the Xbox One other than Jeff for Monday Night Raw? Ouch. I'm finding myself on the PC faaar more these days as well, though it's mostly due to the current lack of games I'm interested in.

I enjoy me some Blitzball, but I will not pretend it's well designed. That tutorial is probably one of the worst I've ever experienced in a videogame. It's probably better to just ignore it entirely if you have any intention on understanding the minigame.

Holy shit, please, please, please do a Metal Gear Solid Endurance Run. That's a series I never had the chance to get into, and I'd really like to, but I don't have a reasonable way to go back and play through those games. Having Drew play, with Dan there to explain what the hell is happening, would be amazing.

Ed Harris is totally in a National Treasure movie. Like yeah.

Also didn't Justin McElroy say Blitzball is like his favorite thing ever in a FF game years back? Yeah not good though.

I'd love to see a MGS playthrough myself. (NOT an Endurance Run. :) Endurance Runs are traditionally a daily episode thing, and I realize that requires a lot of time and dedication) Hopefully if they did, they'd make it to 2, because that's when shit starts getting properly fucking batshit.

Blitzball is awesome and ofc. its a numbers game its an RPG minigame! If you try to play it as Fifa on casual setting i understand why you dont liked it but you are simply doing it wrong.

Mario Kart 64 is by no means the best Mario Kart, but it's still a good game. All Mario Kart games are good, but different degrees. Mario Kart 8 is obviously the best one, or the first one you played.
