I am pro SimAnt. I really like that game. But I played the SNES version. Just saying

Ryan talking about X-com is one of the best things I've ever heard, it's as though he's seen some great and terrible truth and he's staggered back with a shock of white hair and he just keeps mumbling over and over "... this... this game is hard.... so hard..." and when people say "oh yeah, sure... I get it" he grabs them and shakes them "NO YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND!! YOU COULD NEVER UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY DID TO ME!!"

And on top of all that he *loved* it, there's the mark of a great game. (especially since many game journalists lose patience with hard/long games because it represents a hella difficult job)

Really want some kind of follow up news on the prices of some of these sealed games that Jeff found as I think that the sealed PC games might be something worthwhile for collectors. Loved the bit about Puppy in this podcast. Woof.

I want a parallel raid in which Dave and Drew go... idunno, somewhere, and buy a massive amount of prehistoric computer games, and then go insane trying to figure out how to play bard's tale and wasteland and so on.

I think its a little odd that Patrick called the Thief games impenetrable. I played both Thief games on PC on the hardest difficulties when I was just 11 years old.

I have a idea for this raid

Make it a contest you could get the company pay for it then and you take say 2 people who win with you

I'm not good at strategy games, but I had zero issues with XCOM on normal. You gotta be SUPER awful to have to play on easy.

I don't know how I did it, honestly. I played Thief 1 recently and it's much tougher than I remembered.

I laughed through the first ten minutes of this episode the entire time. I hurt so much.

@Peanut: Last night I was super tired and decided to fuck up a mission on purpose just before bed. I took no cover the entire time and just walked and shot and went on over watch. Came through with no casualties.

I love the idea about the RAID. Hope you guys get to do this soon. I think you should shoot a scene at some point where Jeff has a blind fold on, pushing a shopping cart, and is just pulling random games off the shelf in his attempt to hit the $1K SAVED goal.
