The Gunplay in John Wick was the best. I mean he wasn't just shooting people, he was being stylish as fuck while killing people.

I had the same problem with Hyper Light Drifter. The jerkiness of the game at 30 fps was making me nauseous and I had to get a refund on Steam.

It was just last week that I read a news story from my hometown where a burglar was caught entering a house in only his underwear. The old man who lived there with his wife threw him out, but felt sorry for him because it was cold out. He then lent him a coat and invited him in for a coffee while they waited for the police to come and take him away. Which they did. Then they came back later to return the coat and the silverware the burglar had stuffed in his pockets. It's a great story! Dan's version of that story is him seeing the burglar in his living room and straight up murdering him. Gimme a break, Dan. Don't act that gleeful with the opportunity to kill someone.

On a lighter note, someone in chat suggested this image for Dan's profile picture after the toilet paper talk and I had to laugh out loud. Please do it. And finally, everyone should watch the video version of this podcast. The arguments at the end are amazing to watch.

So Activision originally said that MW Remaster would NOT include every multiplayer map.

They have since retracted this statement and are now saying that only 10 maps (Ambush, Backlot, Bog, Crash, Crossfire, District, Downpour, Overgrown, Shipment, and Vacant) will be available at launch and the remaining 6 (Bloc, Countdown, Pipeline, Showdown, Strike, Wet Work) will be made available in a free update by the end of 2016.

Re: the personal defense weapon discussion near the end:

Hey dudes. A few hundred years ago they invented these marvelous tools that get rid of the necessity for upper body strength and perfect body shots and precision to be effective. They're called firearms. Maybe Dan should get a handgun and keep that under his bed or in a drawer for self defense. Just an idea. Take a safety course if you're concerned about how to properly use it. This is America, goshdangit.

SIDE NOTE, Dan, to wipe your poop you take 2-3 squares, fold them over, and then wipe as needed. Repeat. This baseball wad crap is just wasteful and unsanitary even.

I don't know why you think that. Gun violence has been steadily declining for twenty years and virtually all the "gun violence" is made up of suicides and gang and criminals engaging in criminal activity and killing each other. The rest, normally law abiding people snapping or engaging in reckless behavior, accidents and the like are a tiny fraction and if they were all of the gun violence would make the US rank some of the lowest in the world.

I'm going to point out that this whole "knife versus bat" conversation is completely fallacious in that the GB crew (and most other people) are assuming that baseball bats can ONLY be swung, and that once the knife gets within the 5-foot-or-so reach, the baseball-bat wielder is done for.

People, I'm going to drop a bomb on you.

You can thrust with a baseball bat. You can reverse-grip the neck and pop someone with the hand-end (pommel?) extremely quickly. Thrusting with a stick or baton-style weapon is in the Official U.S. Military Police handbook when detailing proper counters when someone gets under your reach.

In a hypothetical knife-versus-bat bat-tle (ho ho ho), I will take the bat 100% of the time, no question.

There is no such thing as a flushable wipe. They are terrors on sanitation systems and create giant balls of fat, feces, and wipes that become something called a fatberg. people flush too much stuff.

I literally have no idea what Brad is talking about. The general consensus in the Destiny community is that Rise of Iron is leagues better then Taken King, which ended up being fairly mediocre in the grand scheme of things.

Also some misinformation which kind of indicates that he really hasn't spent much time with the expansion before criticizing it:

A. You only need one item to get into a fresh round of Archons Forge, which is one of the Siva Offerings. The second item is only needed if you come into a match that is already going on, in which case you can opt to use a Splicer Key to get in on the action, or wait a minute or two for the round to end, in which case you can hop into a fresh match. If you die mid round and choose to respawn, you will also need a Splicer Key to get back in. However if a friend revives you, you'll be fine.

B. The Siva Offerings initially used to drop at a rate of about one per 10 minutes randomly roaming the plaguelands, but since then Bungie has patched it that you can essentially get one every one round of Archons Forge, which usually last about 1-2 minutes. Additionally, the Quatantine patrol mission is a guaranteed drop anytime you do it, and those are probably the most common patrols in the Plaguelands.

No hate to Brad and the crew, but they're pretty much the only outlet that has been even remotely negative towards Rise of Iron, especially as compared to Taken King, which is now probably considered one of the weakest expansions. The only real good that came from it was the reworking of the quest structure.

Man here I was really excited for some crazy Dan shenanigans at the end of the podcast but everyone greatly exaggerated that stuff. What I will say is that it did sound like Dan had about three espressos in a row before they started recording this - seemed way more wired than usual.

John Wick should've been more awesome. Turns out it had two awesome action scenes and that was about it. I also wasn't fond of the main villain, probably because he's a Swedish actor and he just came off as a Swede trying to pass as a generic Russian mob boss.

John Wick sucked.

@elwoodan: that might be more to do with the difficulty of finding a bunch of stuntmen happy to have blanks fired directly into their faces, since that is something that still kills people.

I was laughing hysterically on my way back from work, when I heard Brad read it out. This is my first time checking the video, but I had to see their reactions. It sounded like a legitimate argument between Jason and Dan.

John wick is overrated, I watched it after the raid films when I was looking for some good, mindless action. I checked out halfway through.

Don't say no one has ever been hurt with those punching arcade games. When I was on summer break after 8th grade we were at the mall next to the local amusement park. And they had the punching game where you were supposedly punching robots and had to do a certain amount of damage to it to win and move on to the next robot. We were deep in and needed a super strong punch so I wound up, swung and felt something give in my wrist. After a few hours of roller coaster riding my wrist was really hurting so we had to get a ride home and went to the doctor the next day. Turned out I sprained my wrist pretty badly.

I think Lea Thompson is/was/will be 10,000 BCE to 2525 AD hot. She is confirmed 'time travel' hot!

I normally don't comment on people's gut reaction to things, but if members of the Bombcast are uncomfortable talking about violence and death, you problem shouldn't choose an email describing a knife vs bat fight, a real knife vs bat fight, because that is intrinsically a life/death situation. Also, not everyone gets the luxury of a safe place to live, a responsive police force, or a chance to run away from a home invader. Just something to think about considering some people's response to Dan.

Dan is the worst.

One issue that wasn't fully addressed during the home invasion-chemical warfare-murder discussion is the impact of the close quarters environment. Swinging a full length bat indoors could be problematic, but this is even more of a factor with an aerosol. I for one would recommend a gas mask and dual pepper spray setup for Dan. When he hears a noise in his hall, he grabs the gas mask from near his bed, equips a can of pepper spray in each hand and runs outside screaming and indiscriminately spraying as much as possible (preferably with some pirouettes thrown in there). The shock and awe alone would incapacitate all but the most determined of bears/robbers
