Giant Bombcast 450: Fun at the Movies

Dang. In less than a year, Bombcast will hit number 500 (though, I'm guessing between the non-numbered episodes like E3 live show and GOTY, it might have already happened).

Nintendo just leaked a 'Dan's mummyhand' amiibo.

My friend at work is a notary. But she does not charge because she only has to stamp something once every two weeks, and she only does it at work.

With this whole shooter talk, i want to point out that Rising Storm 2 is coming out soon next year, and as far as ww2, Red Orchestra 2 is still going strong.

Don't know if the guys changed just the lighting on the studio or the exposure of the cameras as well, but the footage looks so much better. More detail, less blown out highlights and a better contrast. Nice job @drewbert and @unastrike!

It was an entertaining segment of Dan's exasperation, but I'm deeply saddened that the battle system in Paper Mario: Color Splash is still bad because of the consumable attack stickers. Shine on you crazy diamond, Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Nintendo will never appreciate the greatness of your design and writing.

They seemed pretty upset about it so I figured I'd correct them that all the sony wireless headsets do work with psvr. It's even right in the faq Brad cited here:

Q: Can I use my PULSE wireless headset or other wireless headsets with PS VR?

Yes, but you should connect the wireless headset using a standard 3.5mm wired cable. A wireless audio connection will not work with PS VR.

The Sony headsets all come with the cable to wire it anyway so it seems like a complete non-issue. Not Brad's fault but that's why you don't read Polygon.

God Damnit. I have an irrational hatred/fear towards Howard the Duck. I don't know if it's the nude duck within minutes of the movie starting, Lea Thompson sexual tension, or Howard being a shitty creepily made costume with his cold dead eyes... but the second you guys started talking about that movie I knew this would be the picture used.

Also, Dan not knowing the laws for home intruders are different in each state...

Fuck, I wish we had here in Italy the same system for notary as in the USA and not the so called "latin notaries". Here it's basically an almost closed medieval guild/order and since they are required by law for an enormity of stuff they charge a lot (till a few years ago you had to go through a notary even to buy a used car). They are the quintessential privileged caste in the popular imaginary; if you manage to become one (and chances are that to be able to do that you had someone in or close to your family already doing this job) you are really, really set for life.

Every game in the Battlefield series has been a WWII game, except for maaaybe BF2 because of the speed of jets. Everything else uses WWII tactics, including this new BF game set in WWI.

This podcast got me to watch John Wick and it's now up there with Snatch for me. Amazing.

I watched Howard the Duck a couple months ago, and don't get me wrong, it's a bad movie, but it's still more entertaining than a lot of the stuff coming out these days. Take Avengers 2 for instance.

Can someone fix the white spot on the wall behind Jeff? It's been driving me nuts for months!
