I thought SF Alpha was a CPS2 game..?

edit: Ah, they released a down-port version for CPS1, which is probably the basis for the console versions.

@brad Is highish latency really such an issue? To me, it seems like the bigger issue may be latency variance, because with low variance you should theoretically be able to sync up with other gb members by adding some constant delay to the low-latency streams.

@thepersontwo: It's roughly 80% wanting to be able to interact with chat in a close-to-real-time fashion, 20% my stubborn pride about bringing the number down (and already having had it lower a few weeks ago).

This reminds me a lot of Jeff's Old Game streams from a few years back before he started just going nuts with his onscreen graphics.

Don't get me wrong, I dig that style, but this is a pleasant throwback.

Please just make regular Old Game streams. One of these comes every few weeks, at best, and I think every time how much I know there's a substantial portion of the audience that crave this kind of content much more regularly.

I got a MiSTer about two months ago, and I’ve yet to touch any of the arcade cores. A CPS-2 core would change that immediately, though.

You know, I don't think I've ever been able to articulate why I jump in instead of just walking forward in fighting games, and Brad summed it up in one succinct statement. "Walking forward is the opposite of blocking." damn. That's it. That's the entire reason.

I'd like to see a straight SNES vs Genesis stream. Nothing but games that were released on both systems.
