It has to be some kind of game event since 1UP's Jeremy Parish is on Rome as well. Or they've both been having a secret love affair for years and finally got a vacation together.

My bets are on some super lame single game preview event. Lego Toy Story 2: The Revenge of the Skylanders: "There you go, our game has, like, 4 gamemodes. On Kinect. Ages 3-3.5. Isn´t it amazing?"

Sometimes I wonder if the games industry creates these preview events on purpose to stall the actual review work of websites such as GB.

I doubt Jeff would fly out to something like that when they hardly ever leave SF to cover more "noteworthy" games. So I'd assume it's a bigger event. What irritates me is that it's in Rome - who is in Rome/Italy? Ubisoft did something like that in the lead up to ACII because the geographical accuracy was central to the experience and they probably wanted reviewers to be aware. I really have no idea what publisher would feel the need to have US press fly out to Rome to look at games this year.

Maybe it really is Skylanders stuff which would at least answer the question why Jeff went. ;-)

Loving Mondays on Mondays is too mainstream. Tuesdays are for true Giant Hipsters.

To be fair, that is best part of any Kinect game really.

I love Mondays has increasingly just become broken promises. Last week was the worst. We got very few if none of the quick looks they said they'd do. I understand that it's going to take time to get all their equipment ready and let alone settle down themselves. Just don't break our hearts with lies.

They also went to Tokyo Game Show the first year of the site, 2008. There are some great videos of that.

Wait, they actually called the game "Kinect Star Wars"? Damn, never heard of a developer actually going with the placeholder title before. Well, unless you count "Mario Kart Wii"...
