Skimmed through this episode. Yeah, I'm out. The moon landing was them not knowing what they were doing, but learning and that was awesome.

@jhebbel: I nay-say things because I want to try to understand them before we plunge headlong into them. Sometimes that happens, sometimes it doesn't. I lean cautious, but it's not like I'm telling Vinny he can't do stuff. The supporting facts, more often than not, are: we don't know what the hell we're doing and I'd like to try to understand this a little more before moving forward.

This series is amazing!

This is so stupid. They went from being inquisitive eleven year olds who wanted to learn science and become astronauts like their favorite legends to now being dumb fourteen year olds who want to blow shit up just for the sake of it.

Do you think anybody outside of kerbel Nasa has any idea what is occurring there?

Ok so based on the comments I was expecting to be more frustrated with this than I was. I think their current ship is more than capable, and I think they'll figure it out, BUT, right at the end when they checked out the maneuver to sun orbit, and then COMPLETELY misunderstood what the lines represented, that drove me crazy. The ship isn't going to keep following the Kerbin orbit line, the new dotted line would be the new orbit around the sun, that's the line that matters.

To be perfectly honest, I can't wait for this series to be complete. I love what they're doing, and that they're having a good time doing it, but with as many hours into the game as they have now, if they haven't figured out some of these basics, I don't know if they ever will. And that would become extremely frustrating to watch the longer it goes on.

I just found the previous episode super boring. Episode 11 was them being successful while episode 12 was the failed follow up album. They forgot what they even did to succeed and then lost 2 Kerbin in the process. It was frustrating in the regard that they knew what to do but took all the wrong steps getting there with a constant back and forth between Vinny, Austin and Alex all suggesting different approaches while Vinny is the one at the wheel. They took an hour discussing how to save this one Kerbin and then 5 minutes "planning" their re-entry when that was something they used to take just as much time on. The result was not surprising.

So uh, crewless capsules are totes a thing. You don't have to murder half a dozen kerbals when you want to just "test some stuff out". I just wanted to throw that out there.

Oh man.

That papal prison pod is cool as hell.

But yeah, I really wish next week's episode were this week's episode, this week was kind of humdrum.

Vinny knows. And yet he still keeps killing the Kerbals!

Thank you for the lighting tweak- I'm watching on an imac with the brightness all the way up and I can't even see your ship half the time.

Really enjoyed this. Having said that...I think back to the P4 Endurance Run and how often people lost their minds via frustration for them not playing it right or whatever...it's CRAZY to me that they ever even decided to do this. Surely they must have known there were be a vocal part of the community intent on being enraged at their actions. Ah well, whatever. My artsy-fartsy brain starts flying off into some sort of imaginary realm every time I even boot Kerbal up and try to learn it again, so they're always going to be doing better than me so, for that, I salute them!

Man I love this series...feel bad for anyone who is either a) knowledgeable in this field or b) has played a bunch of Kerbal. I can see why it could be frustrating but man when you don't know whether they are on the right path or destined to be doomed then this is extremely compelling viewing!

Also I love how Alex is the voice of reason or at least the voice of hey lets make sure we know what we're doing here
