In all seriousness, it was probably a good call. Alex isn't an in-your-face type of player. Sentinel has a fun mix of powers, and the Tech Armor's damage mitigation will be much appreciated.

They've been having this issue for way longer than just now, the East content has been way louder and peaking for over an year. But yes, I agree that it also got worse since they came back from the break.

I'm excited to see this if not only for the fact that I always had Ashley in my squad, curious to see how this plays out.

I was always very apprehensive over having to work with Cerberus, seems like the kind of operation that the human supremacist near the end of the first Mass Alex would rep for, and the Cerberus crew don't exactly make the best first impression themselves.
I appreciate the moxy of placing you in a morally compromised situation from the start though.

Also don't be afraid to hit some of those contextual paragon / renegade prompts, playing renegade in this game is fun and makes you feel more like a ruthless soldier rather than just a dick.

Mass Effect 2 was alright, not as good as ME 1 tho. I never played ME 3 because I was disappointed by the changing gameplay between 1 and 2, and the promise of multiplayer in ME 3. Also, how they handled the choices between 1 and 2 were a big disappointment for me.

Basically, the series goes downhill after ME 1.

Time to tell another story of the Shepard and the Wolf.

Aw man, I was hoping Alex would look up in the destroyed Bridge at the start and see the gorgeous moon you can see from that view. It's an amazing view even today.

Poor Jacob, got blanked after the meeting with the Illusive Man.

As cool as the helmet looks, I'm definitely all in for actually seeing Shep Shep's face. Don't think I ever used any of the helmets for that reason. The N7 helmet will still appear for when you need it.

@vinny, please let Alex look up to see the cool skyboxes and views in this game. Him not bothering to see the crack in the hull in the Normandy 1 to see outer space was a huge missed opportunity! That was an awe-inspiring moment for me and I'm assuming for a lot of other players the first time through. And I mean that in the deepest sense of the word, as it made me feel like I was so not ready for the heights this game would take me.

Sentinel is definitely the better choice of class for how Alex played the first game. Keep your distance and just throw the occasional biotic/tech power out. The extreme streamlining of the RPG elements in 2 should make for an easier time using abilities. But yeah, I'm all about that Vanguard life. Biotic Charging enemies and blasting them with a suped-up shotgun never got old here, and even got better in 3.

I think there might be some mod breaking the facial animations on some scenes. It already seemed like something was wrong with their mouths in the start, but it's more noticeable when The Illusive Man is smoking and when Shep is talking while wearing the helmet, for some reason the jaw area is still moving even though it's an helmet. Or it might just be some bugs on the vanilla game that I forgot about, it's been a long time since I've played it.

As much as Vanguard is my favorite class to play through the entire series, I was really happy Alex didn't pick it again. He would have never played it like it should be played. Sentinel was actually the exact class I wanted him to pick because the tech armor will keep him alive as long as he remembers to use it.

Its also gonna be fun watching Alex play through it and not know about any of the party members like we all did. They gave away all the party members in the promotional material back when ME2 came out. Him not knowing who "Archangel " or the "Convict" are should be really fun to watch.

Not picking vanguard is a deal breaker for me

Aw, man. The view from the destroyed Normandy bridge at the beginning is among one of the best shots in the game... and @alex didn't bother to look up during his walk.

I'm super glad this is going and now I want to play ME2 again. I need to get a XB1 and the Trilogy and do this all over again, I think. I played ME2 for damn near a year straight back in the day, I'd like to go back.

Mass Effect 2 as renegade is best mass effect. You punch everyone in the face and tell them to f off. The problem with mass effect (or its strength) is that You have to either commit to be very bad or very good. middling is nok

The comic thing was added to the PS3 version of ME2, since ME1 was an XBOX exclusive at the time.

So it would serve for the new players to catch up on the story so far.

Been waiting for this day for Alex to save us all!

Dear me, as a completionist I really have to control myself when I see Alex skipping an audio log during the escape from the Cerberus facility and missing an entire conversation with Jacob before the Freedom's Progress mission...

But hey, so awesome that this is back.

Welp, guess we gotta cancel this whole series, since Alex didn't look up.

Looking forwards to this every tuesday for the next...6-8 months at least, if they're also doing all the DLC and keeping to the "one episode per week" format.

SO desperately hoped for Alex to choose Engineer. Hoped to witness the overwhelming might of the three-man, three-drone squad in the future.
