Seeing the screen cap I know what mission this is and I am really looking forward to Drew blowing some crap up.

I was also real worried there wouldn't be an episode today/tonight.

Watch out goobs, he'll shoot you up!

The way Ocelot delivers "If you've got time to spare" is so coy.

Please at least try other camo/suits...sneaking suit 24/7 doesn't really take advantage of all the cool stuff...

Man, this mission was so much fun. I've taken to bringing a rocket launcher with me whenever possible for when things go pear shaped. Not sure why they're so satisfying in this game, but they are.

Edit: Oh man, they missed the best part! That truck was carrying something wonderful. Perfect for dropping goobs with the greatest of ease.

Edit 2: What the doughnut!?

Only about 15 minutes in but Drew is kicking ass. - Best episode yet! Reminded me why this series (and Pequod) is rad.

Best line - "Is there anything I can get out of this truck that Miller was talking about ?"

Dan "I don't think there's anything you could get out of it."

Literally the most powerful multihoming warhead rocketlauncher in the game that you couldn't research for about 40 more R&D levels.

Also, the coolest thing about D-Horse is that you can call it at a full sprint and it will run along beside you. This mechanic is why it sort of seems to shy away from you when you run towards it sometime, it tries to anticipate your running.

Regarding blue circles and mission objectives, the thing you want is always at the direct center of it (with the exception of killing dudes in side ops. If its a blueprint, etc, in my experience it is always right at the center. In the Africa mission it wants you to extract that container.

... if I was Drew, I'd be tempted to do nothing but lie to Dan anytime he asked a question. "Bow? No that's the left side of the ship." "Yup, cars are the only reason people drill for oil."

Loved this mission. I had the ability to fulton vehicles by this point and instead of blowing them up I'd let D-Horse sit in the middle of the road, they'd stop, and up they'd go.

...at least, until that one time they didn't stop...*takes off hat*

Then there's the bonus part at the end if you got all the tanks! The thing that definitely wasn't in the back of that truck came in real handy too.

Just a reminder to tell Drew he can research a fulton to extract trucks and large containers now that he has a transportation specialist (may need a few more levels of R&D though?)

Drew basically playing this game in a vacuum with the worst guide ever is tipping the scales towards this being more frustrating than entertaining for me. I imagine a lot of people playing this game, as it is with lots of other games, were talking with friends or finding out on the internet about all kinds of strategies that they could then play around with, but all Drew has is Dan, who really seems like he barely tried to do anything to understand how this game functions. It's the blind leading the blind.

Which is fine, in a cynical "it's fun to watch something fall apart" kind of way. But I would rather Drew have all the information available to him to really dig deep into however he wants play, so he can feel confident about dealing with new areas, and also so we can watch Dan's mouth drop to the floor when he finds out more things he didn't know he could do.

Also, as fun as the conversations are between the guys, it's getting a little much when they talk over what they were even supposed to be doing on a mission and end up wasting time wandering around, and then don't know how to even check the idroid to get some context back. At that point what are you even trying to accomplish with this series?

From the comments I find it incredibly impressive that somehow the mission that required no stealth at all and was literally blow everything the fuck up (aka a mission designed for drew) was somehow messed up by Dan's poor advice.

This was my favourite mission in the game. I sadly missed one vehicle but I felt like such a badass dropping C4 in the road and blowing them up as they rode over it. Plus getting that special homing rocket launcher was so damn fun!

Yeah wtf.. If Dan didn't see it in his own playthrough it seems like he doesn't think it exists. I don't usually get mad about his bad advice, but holy shit there was a lot of misinformation this episode!

They don't even need the internet. I feel like if Jeff and Brad replaced Dan for even one episode, they could fix the damage that has so far been wrought. At least, I have to believe that they played this game in a less myopic way.

EDIT: oh dear, just reached "you're not in the circle". If there was a chat they would have been screaming to pick up the purse.

Afrikaans is indeed heavily based on Dutch. That's why it was funny to me when I interrogated an Afrikan soldier and Miller was like "we need a translator, we don't understand what he's saying" and I was like "nahh, I'm fine" : )

I think he was trying to say that picking it up in the mission doesn't seem to matter after you're done the mission. I'm not totally sure whether it opens up in development due to picking it up, but IIRC there was no indication of that (isn't mentioned in requirements, no message when picking it up, etc.). Kinda disappointing.

So, there's an objective in this mission to retrieve this weapon and I don't have it completed for some reason. I did that mission again just now and fultoned the whole truck and that didn't do it either. Wierd.

Forget the Kojima tracker...this series needs a Dan Ryckert Misinformation tracker. Where can I download the Beastcast's corrections music?

Drew could've gotten that last tank if he had the homing weapon that surely wasn't in the back of that truck.
