Playdate: Midweek Multiplayer Madness: Star Wars Battlefront II

Hell yeah. Battlefront 2 has had a really great comeback recently and I'm glad to see it get featured again. They made a ton of really smart changes and the modes/classes are super diverse (well, some eras more than others lol)

Turns out I just like listening to people talk about Star Wars on the internet.

I really wish Brad would take a second to look at some of the other games that have come out since Tie Fighter before dismissing them outright. I know Ace Combat hasn't had the greatest track record in recent years, but I jumped into it for the first time with AC7 and it blew me away.

Pretty much everything Brad described as things he liked about Tie Fighter, I would say AC7 does far better. And unlike, say, Freespace 2 (which is one of my favourite games of all time) it's relatively easy to get into, and ISN'T padded out by endless dogfights or a lot of patrol or escort missions. It's a tight 10-15 hour campaign and I loved every minute of it.

Also, as Austin Walker would say, the soundtrack fucking SLAPS!

@jeff: if I'm recalling correctly, one of the 'LEGO Star Wars' games does actually have the Palpatine character constantly laughing while you're playing as him. Someone got it right, is what I'm saying here.

I came late to Jedi Fallen order and Played and Beat on Xbox one X and have encountered none of the issues Brad say he has with the game

@xdeser2: I just wish it wasn't so grindy still. Getting rank 4 star cards and all the guns/attachments for all classes is still a major chore. I also don't like how Capital Assault is limited to the prequel era. Was it really too much work that they couldn't have made it for the other eras?

No, way that 9 is any better than those other movies. Even for an non-SW fan that movie is straight up unwatchable. That's why Vinny walked out of it. And 7 is extremely unoriginal, it hurts.

I recently reinstalled this as well. Nice to see them stick with the game to make it better, rather than just give lip service.

I just want Jeff to know the Phoenix New Times is the best free alternative paper in Arizona. The best stories about medical marijuana, band show reviews, and some times horrible political corruption. All the news that fit to print.

How would anybody come out of watching the Prequel Trilogy thinking Attack of the Clones is the best and Revenge of the Sith is the worst? Attack has nothing good about it and the first 15 minutes of Revenge is better than all of Attack.

I originally purchased this game when it came out. I was so turned off by the loot box BS, I shelved it.

I fired it up recently and played the single player. It's not bad and easy on the eyes. The story is ham fisted but the action in between is fun.

Thanks for this vid. It made me give BF2 a chance and I LOVE it.
