Come on. You know that's bull. Patrick has been a 95% console gamer for a long ass time (he even wrote in a recent article that he played Diablo 1 on console) and he has bought computers in that time. He just chose Apple laptops and so on. It's his choice - it just makes it seem odd when he then fawns over a high res texture...

Despite the middling reviews from elsewhere and the ostensibilitinessmanship from this quick look, this was the deciding factor in my Steam preorder of the game. I need my Alan Wake fix.

This has actually motivated me to buy both Alan Wake and American Nightmare, I have always been intrigued but never fully swayed.

Bought this for just $1 during the last Steam sale, and am quite enjoying it so far. I agree with Ryan though that less combat, and more atmosphere/story would have been nice.
