This game looks alright, nice to see more STGs making their way onto the PC. I'm pretty sure the story is full of tropes and exaggerated monologues. Clearly award winning material.

It's a broken half-suit so that they can give you the repaired full suit later and full power and true form and something about determination and just a little bit of incest to keep it spicey. This is my understanding of anime.

Loving Giant Bomb right now, and really excited for the future. The new hires have only been here for a week, and we're already seeing more and better content. Now that Giant Beast is kicking butt, things look like they're coming up roses.

@vinny and @alex arguing about the plot of this game was goddamn amazing. That being said it sure seems to be anime cliché heavy.

The opening reminds me of Zone of the Enders: The 2nd Runner. Only not as good.

Gameplay seems pretty great though.

They're running it on the laptop, unfortunately. They've yet to expense a PC, it seems, and that'll probably be a while. They mentioned having to wait until next quarter to do that.

About damn time someone at GB did QL on this. A good one for a first GBEast QL at least.

Edelwiess' previous games were pretty good too. Ether Vapor is pretty similar to this and Fairy Bloom Freesia was pretty badass for what it was too, despite its looks.

@nesre: That's good news! Means they should have a PC put together sooner rather than later.

Yeah, I hadn't watched the QL yet when I asked. Their PreeDom stream made mention that July 1 was the start of the new quarter, so they've been doing spreadsheets and pricing out PC parts for a computer they hope to have in the next week or so, I think? Then they're gonna build it on video.

BTW, they also made Fairy Bloom Freesia, which is a great 2D beat-'em-up, and Ether Vapor Remaster, which Astebreed is a spiritual successor of.

As for the game, I found the early part to be easy. But from Chapter 5 onwards, the difficulty picks up. Be prepared to Continue multiple times.

I really want to watch an anime about a spaceship that shoots buildings all willy nilly now.
