Quick Look: Backbreaker

Why, again? I guess the more realistic tackles and such?

I want a wrestling game with Euphoria.

I always enjoy the fake teams. I liked All Pro Football 2K8 a lot too.

A British made American Football game? Absurd.

This is the first football game i've been interested in since N64 era blitz. I like me some good animation middlewear. I'll get it when its in the bargin bin

This game looks cool for someone who has a small knowledge of football but dosen't play Madden. I was almost screaming at Jeff on the rip/swim drill.

I think this game actually looks pretty good, but it seems to be getting poor reviews because people are comparing it way too much to Madden. It's not trying to be Madden, its more akin to Blitz. And seeing how horrible Blitz: The League was, this game definitely deserves some praise.

I like some of the stuff Backbreaker is trying to do with the game.

madden could definitly borrow stuff from backbreaker, but as an overall package madden is still way out in the lead. The presentation of this game is horrible, it's like the people who made the physics engine were also paid to make the graphics and menus.

The tackle at the end is awesome!

That game looks good. Loving the animation and all the physical effects.

There's some major problems with this game. That being said, I really hope EA buys out this company and builds Madden from the ground up using this engine. It would be essentially building a whole new game. The tackling is simply incredible.

I dont know alot or infact anything about how good fotball games are nowadays but this looks really good IMO.

this actually looks really fun. I'm a huge football fan and the last madden left me a little disappointed. this tackles in this game arn't "animations" like they are in madden, they're very natural looking which is awesome.

This just doesnt seem that appealing to me. Yeah the physics engine is cool, but when the game is broken in so many other places...

I played the demo. The game itself looks good graphics/animation wise, but the actual gameplay itself is very plain. I haven't played a Madden game since 06 for PS2 or something so I can't make a fair comparison between them, but I think this QL speaks for itself. I think this is something that EA should pickup because the tackles look very good after comparing it to some Madden gameplay on Youtube.

Sad that this game got so many bad reviews. Especially since almost all the reviews like to add "doesn't play like madden" as a negative.

I have *very* limited interest in sport video-games, but this may be the first one that pulls me into the genre. 
 
Besides the copious use of the track "Boom" during kickoffs, the reply viewer had a very David Lynch vibe with the music - which is awesome.

Tackle Alley is the best mode in a football game ever. Horde mode + football is a great idea.

I'm pretty interested in this.  Plus its got a team from my home town:  Honolulu!

The title is pretty stupid, I don't like it at all. The game looks quite nice, animation is ok.
