Ooh, it's officially out! The game looks so pleasant and relaxing to play.

What a twist for a Quick Look!

It's been so long since I first saw this game on Giant Bomb.

This game looks like it's extremely my shit and I hope it's not like 40 hours.

Woah, this came out? I feel like I haven't heard anything about this in a while. That description is literally all I've ever wanted in my life.

This game looks cool as hell. Neat types of gameplay and mixups on the strategy.

And the art and fully voiced dialogue? And on the Switch? I'm buying.

If someone had told me, "Hey, I'm going to make an Iron Chef / Detective Story / Side-Scrolling Adventure game", I'd have told them they were insane and to please leave me alone.

Bravo for proving me wrong, Trinket Studios. This is going on my Steam list. :)

Just played this for an hour on my Switch as a break in studying. This seems like something I need right now, pretty basic and charming, seems good for end of the day chilling out. Also the art style is top notch.

Take me to flavortown.

@ravelle: To be fair, the past year feels like it's been 37 years rolled into one and like anything that happened in the past 10.5 months happened "just yesterday."

Haven't watched this QL yet, but I'm going to watch it on my lunch break (or buy the game and play it)

Buying it on Switch instead of PC, which is a shock.

@d_w: According to reviews I have read, it's 6 chapters which is kinda short for a game like this.

I do love games that have a mostly pleasant nonchalant feel even as you're murdering the fuck out of innocent wildlife.

I honestly expected Vinny to say, "Hi Hungry, I'm Vinny," at the beginning there. He's been dad Vinny for too long.

I now want that "Abby's right" shirt. Crash IS an ass movie, and Yakitate: Japan IS a great anime!

The weird cat sounds in the background had me freaking out a bit. I went and checked on my cat a couple at times until I realised it was the game...

She got an "extra" clean sand box out of it tho.

@apothaeos: For a $20 game not sure what you can expect. So far it's a real good pallet cleanser for me after more involved games. Probably gets more elaborate as it progresses (which will incidentally also probably be the time I drop it for something else, lol).

i really like what I'm looking at, and more stuff for the switch is always great... but i also can't stop thinking about Muramasa/Odin's Sphere,and how the animations are so much smoother.

Shokugeki Simulator 2017

I like the idea, but I'm not sure I'd enjoy the cooking minigame all that much. Would've been cool if they spun it out into a sort of Puzzle Quest campaign.

Also, like Abby said, some of the art doesn't mesh very well with the water-color backgrounds.

This looks like it could possibly be cool but that combat looks like trash. Barely any animation and real floaty

It would be better for me if I could just do the cooking competitions without progressing the story. Sort of a sandbox mode.

It's the only cooking show to ever really get me thinking about what I can do differently with my existing repertoire, rather than just copying whatever recipe is featured.

...also they're just SUCH good friends and I'm a total softy for that trope when it's done well.

@vinny A lot of Vietnamese soup is served with bone right in the soup! I actually went to an authentic Vietnamese restaurant once and it was some of the best soup I've ever had, The bone isn't much of a hassle and it promotes gut health!

@bathala:The fan service in the very first scene almost made me turn it off right away. I'm happy I stuck with it. It's a solid show that celebrates food and cooking in a mouth-watering way.

It got a bit boring and repetitive once the whole knockout tournament started, but 3rd season running right now is looking more intriguing.

This is the perfect Quick Look format. Short, informative, funny, all while showing off a great looking game. I would genuinely like to play this after this video. There have been and still are quite a few gourmet-style anime or gouranimet(sorry) though my favorite has got to be Cooking Master Boy. Thanks and keep up the great work.

I don't know how to describe it, but i have an almost physical (negative) reaction to the art style of this game. Seems like a cool concept though.

Must be a slow month for them to do a QL of a ugly flash game.
