Quick Look: Battlefield 4

I want both, just like that listener who mailed to the bombcast a couple of years ago suggested - Bad Company 2143. Those characters, set in the 2140's with mechs and shit. That'd be fucking great.

I would love to play a version of the Battlefield 4 campaign with Jeff's commentary through the whole thing.

Man, the music for Knight Rider was so pimp...

man, the writing and dialog in this game seems baaaaaaad...

I can't decide if I should jump into this now on the PC or wait and see if there is a Christmas sale or grab the PS4 version to give me another game to play on that. Probably should go PC for the better looking game (looks like it is a bit crashy at the moment in both single and multiplayer).

The only thing that looks good about the campaign is that Omar from the wire is Irish.

They probably didn't have 30GBs free to do so.

@ben99: They are wise to release it on current gen because they already know people on Xbox and PS3.

I tried not shooting out the window by the way. The only thing that changes is the gun doesn't fire. Implying that the window cracked open by itself.

How in this day and age with this kind of budget and competition do you release a single player campaign this uninspired and broken.

Well, the typical Battlefield player doesn't give a flying fuck about the campaign. I played about 20 mins of BF3 campaign and several hundred hours of the multiplayer. BF is a multiplayer game and most of the games in the series haven't even had a proper campaign at all. Only recently they're felt like they need to compete with COD by adding these banal campaigns.

Oh god, watching someone that doesn't play much Battlefield play Battlefield is INFURIATING. Jeff's inability to read his minimap, and ignoring enemies right in front of him was driving me crazy.
