This Quick Look got slightly less than 2/3rds of the way through of the game. There is only one more world after this one and it is 4 levels and a boss.

I don't wanna go all game cost to gameplay ratio but I feel like game is a bit of a rip off at $30 from length alone.

I honestly thought they were joking when they talked about a new Bubsy. What a time to be alive...

I wonder if the developers of this hated Bubsy like the Bubsy 2 developers.

Talk about suicide at release. Why the hell would Nintendo put Mario out the same week as Bubsy? This is gonna kill Odyssey.

I played the original Bubsy when I was a young lad and I thought that game sucked so after watching this QL for the new one, nothing surprises me about it.

That is not Rob Paulsen. I can't find out who voices Bubsy here, but it's not him.

Two things I learned from watching a stream of this mess: first, there's a bug that makes one-liners not fire sometimes, and it's way more likely to happen if verbosity is at 100%. If you want the most possible Bub, set verbosity to 95%. It's unreal, he actually spouts enough one-liners that he interrupts himself. Second, you can beat all 14 levels (tutorial, 10 stages, 3 bosses) in about an hour, blind. Assuming you don't get too stuck on the bosses.

Rob Paulsen was the Mask (cartoon) and Yacko fricking Warner! I also don't think this is him, though.

It's not. My guess is that Vinny googled "bubsy the woolies strike back voice actor" and skimmed the results page where it says "Rob Paulsen provides the voice of Bubsy" for a different project entirely.

I've been refreshing giantbomb constantly since this came out because I gotta know.

The first Bubsy was best played with a turbo controller. Set the glide button to rapid fire and just fly over every level.

Hey, I *liked* the first Bubsy game on the SNES. It was bright and colorful, the stages were diverse, the mechanics were unique (to someone whose only other platformer was Super Mario World) and the fact that Bubsy talked to the player was neat.

There was, however, no legitimate reason to drag Bubsy, and all his early 90's "'tude" kicking and screaming into modern day. Everything Bubsy used to do, all games now do much better.

(Also, Rob Paulsen was Morte Rictusgrin in Planescape: Torment!)

This game is like what Monster Factory would be but instead of video game characters its for the whole video game and also sad instead of funny.

@p_tog: Oh boy I wish I could do that just for trolling sake. That would be a lot of fun trying to find the fun in this considering how really bland and mediocre this game seems to be.

charging 30 bucks for this (on steam, which is cheaper than consoles) is just aggravating.

In addition to this being a piece of shit platformer and thirty fucking dollars, apparently you guys showed around half the game.

When bosses blink they are either 100% or 0% visible. I find that hilarious... I mean, there are other transparency values xD

Anyone who hasn't played the bubsy3d.com game, seriously you should check it out. It takes like 10 minutes and it's amazing!

As a child I liked cats, I liked my MegaDrive, so I liked Bubsy. I do not like this.

I . . . didn't hate Bubsy 1 or 2. I also played them on Sega Channel, so, like, no money was wasted.

Bubsy and Internet Dan would be best friends. Besides that joke, this game doesn't seem so good. Maybe it would be good for kids? Then again, I feel like kids could play through Odyssey and have more joy with it.

I was gonna say it looks like a shitty version of those Gianna Sisters games. Turns out its the same developer.

I played the SNES one, Bubsy: Claws Encounters of the Furred Kind, as a kid. Had to go back and watch some videos of it, because this hardly reminded me of it in any way. There's still some nostalgia there but this doesn't really capitalize on it in any way. Looks like they switched the pop culture references and snark for lazy self referential video game jokes. He doesn't even do the thing where he's a cartoon fight smoke cloud when he jumps on someone.

Seems to me like it'd have been a lot cheaper (and nostalgic) to make an actual new 2d graphics Bubsy game like Sonic and Megaman have been doing than this half-assed attempt at revisiting the franchise.

Someone get Dana Gould on the horn; clearly it's time for the dogshit Gex remake for the irony crowd.
