Quick Look: Darksiders: Warmastered Edition

Never gave this a proper play back in the day; might be time to do so on PC.

Exact same here. I also like them both for different reasons. I thought the voice acting was better in the first, it was also more focused and felt like a very tight and solid progression of both story, locations, character, and weaponry/collectibles. Darksiders II build such an interesting world though. It was so lush compared to the grey crap that was coming out.

These games are much better than the sum of their parts. I could honestly do with this series hitting installment #13 someday, if they kept at their core quality.

Yay. Game just launched on Steam, and all owners of the original are getting a copy of the remaster. (Also 80% off otherwise).

Can confirm this. It's pretty damn awesome of them considering Nordic would not have benefited from those sales of the original version. I was hoping they'd have a discount for current owners and was more than willing to toss a few bucks their way for the upgrade; was really surprised to get it for free.

Was interested in finally giving this a go after missing it the first time around but the 35GB download on PSN is a little prohibitive. That's likely at least a 24 hour download on my crappy internet,

I need to play this again. Darksiders 1 is one of the best games from last gen. A true underrated gem. The second game is such a huge bummer by comparison. It's still an alright game, but I cannot grasp how anyone could prefer it over the first.

And War looks a little bit like Arthas with a different skin.
