And that DLC crap is just that... crap. If anything, content you paid for should have been the thing to make it over. There's no reason it shouldn't, short of the fact that they didn't want to do extra bug testing.
 
And by the way, it certainly does matter that for the entire intro I never found any armor my mage could use. Also, for all the talk that you immediately find better equiptment, the majority of the stuff I was using right up 'till near the end of Awakening was the high-end stuff I either got through DLC or bought for 100+ gold in Origins.
 
Again, not to say I didn't like the game, because I did.

Comparing Dragon Age to Final Fantasy 13 does Dragon Age a disservice since it is exponentially better than the garbage that is FInal Fantasy 13.

I can't wait to spend some time with Awakening this weekend.  Did I hear a WC3 peasant quote in there?  
 
Also, there is a mod that will let your warrior bash open locked chests.  Not sure if it is compatible with Awakening yet though as I haven't gotten too far into it yet.

Yeah, that not importing day one DLC is BS, but if they upgrade you quick i'll get over it. Too bad the expansion came out during one of the craziest release months since November. I'll pick it up this summer when releases slow down a bit and I have more time for RPGs. 
 
I really wish BioWare could get the jankiness out of their games. Glitches and poor design choices seem to be as much as staple of the developer as great stories and fun gameplay.

Argh! angst, I still haven't had time to play much of the original Dragon Age!

Since I haven't actually finished Dragon Age, and I am miles away from doing so, I probably shouldn't watch this quick look. Also, good on 'em for giving a quick spoiler alert.

I like me some dragon age but at 40$ I am not feeling this one.

Seems like a waste of time to do a QL of this, I think anyone who saw a review on Dragon Age will know what to expect.

Great expansion pack, btw.

I just ordered the 360 version. 300SEK (€30) was a god price. Only 200SEK (€20) if you buy it on PC. Why are discs almost always cheaper than digital downloads? It's 350SEK (€35) for the 360 version on xbox market place. It should be cheaper since it doesn't cost as much to produce. 
 
EDIT: I think the answer is there is no competition on the digital downloads while stores usually try to have the lowest prices (at least here, it seems some countries have a standard retail price in all stores). When ME2 came out the price kept dropping by €2 every day for a few days because two stores were fighting for the cheapest price and this was a few days before release. The MSRP of games here are €59.99 but in reality you can almost always get them for between 47.99 and 54.99 some big games like Gears of War and Halo ODST you could find for €34.99 the first day because everyone wanted to get people into their stores to buy the games.

I just started slogging through Dragon Age again having not played it since finishing it in December. After playing through ME2 and half of another game which I won't mention here, Dragon Age's narrative is so bland, the combat so slow and monotonous, and it has so many continuity-breaking and sometimes completely game-breaking bugs it's hard to believe it's a BioWare game.
 
Here's hoping the transition from Dragon Age to Dragon Age 2 is on par with that of Mass Effect.

Good Quick Look I guess.. But it doesn't answer the question that is keeping me from buying it: Does the playtime justify the cost?
 
Tired of spending money on 8 dollar DLC that is only like 20 minutes long.
