Quick Look: Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies

Kessler? Let's see how he measures up. 
 
EDIT: Not bad. I'm not much of a fan of how hyper-traditional Dragon Quest seems (also, the Dragon Ball art style kind of throws me off) , but Matt's informative, and I appreciate the enthusiasm.

TOO QUIET

How many times can one re-iterate that 'This is Dragonquest' in the first two minutes?

Well at least Matt has more constructive and informative things to say in this video than Brad did in the last two months

Kessler is a smart guy and can be pretty funny. He hasn't even done much yet. Drew didn't get any of this when he was an intern, so just give it a rest. Really, there's no way that you could actually dislike him as much as you all claim. I'm not even really a fan of him, but it's just boisterous for you all to be saying it. 
 
Nicholson, on the other hand . . .

I still think of Kessler from InFamous.

This Matt guy is ok tho.

No idea what people are talking about, Matt's is fine in this quick look. I like the enthusiasm he brings.

Matt seems to loosen up as the quick look goes on, that's good. He needs to not try so hard with his vocal patterns, though. Begins to sound like a higher pitched Ryan Davis imitator.

The guy's voice is unbearable, and his constant pandering to giantbomb memes is awful.

Sorry to derail this Matt Quick Look with talk of Dragon Quest, but Dragon Quest looks neat.

I like how Kessler didn't heal the healer even though she needed to be healed and then tries to throw away her corpse even though her death was all his fault.

Matt really seems like a cool guy, but he can be annoying as hell. 

Matt Kessler's voice reminds me of Paul Heyman's for some reason.

As long as Matt stops channeling his inner Shatner everything will be fine.

Aww poor Matt and his radio voice. Give it time I am sure we will all adapt.

I dunno, Matt seems very informative, not annoying at all.

I have new found respect for Kessler after watching this quick look. I was interested in buying this game and he was very helpful and informative, as well as funny which is the most important part of a quicklook. 

Kesslers fine.

Just remember to send all your Kessler complaints to MattBodega's wall. 
 
Decent inaugural Quick Look... a bit too enthusiastic and forced, but informative overall. Brad was just being Brad.

Looks pretty good. But that coffin is tripping me out.

Matt was very informative, and there was a little bit of humor sprinkled in.  I hope they give him some more time in quick looks.
