So now that he is gone from SF things aren't as lively as they used to be. But once Giant Beast kicks off things will be great in NY and SF will get better once new people start coming in.

Not really. He jumped ship from Bodycount about a year out from its development to work on this. The man is the poster boy for the kinds of games that don't get made anymore because the AAA industry has gotten more ambitious and to an extent, grown up.

I wonder how a gameplay with this would be if you ONLY went melee and used no guns! (Except for explosives and what the game tells you to use.)

This is not a good looking game.

The graphics look not that much better than CoD2, really. However, I care less about the graphical roughness than I do about how pitifully unimaginative this looks. It's serviceable, but nothing about it speaks to anyone on the dev team giving half a shit. At least Rogue Warrior had the hilarious cheese of Mickey Rourke's one-liners. This is just the sort of unimaginative tripe that has no place in gaming nowadays.

It's a shame too, because I DO feel like there's a place in the market for titles in between the absurdly high-budget and the retro-cloning/hyper-pretentious "indie" scene. However, those games need to show something that isn't everywhere else. Take advantage of the smaller budget to have some friggin' ideas. Make something people might actually remember.

Kinda crazy how much faster the melee animation from the front is than stealth kills. You're actually at a larger risk of being seen and killed doing stealth kills just because how long that animation is, than just running up to a dude and stabbing him in the face.

Looks awful and boring to play.
