@nethlem: I'm a big fan of Carpenter Brut and synthwave in general, I love it for jogging, its like running in a John Carpenter film.

@dystopiax: The twist was just kind of telegraphed in a way that I didn't find super satisfying. It felt like it could have been cool but I was so kind of over the Drebin-esque exposition of the bosses a la MGS4 that I really stopped caring about the story. And for the most part, I'd agree about the Dark Souls level of it feels fair, except that the final bullet hell forms are so goddamn unique from most of the rest of the fight with any boss.

Never mind getting stuck on The Burst? where the sniper just runs around the map and your only choice is to chase her and hope she stays in one place. The sniper is where my opinion of this game shifted from positive with problems to problematic with positives.

Never had a problem with that boss- I think how it works is that you have to quickly hit her once before she can get away in the first 2 stages, then keep up with her to the center in the third stage. I got it to work pretty consistently.

I guess it'll depend on the person but the ending worked pretty well for me- I got the sense that something was "wrong" towards the end as the bosses became less and less villainous in nature as you progressed, but I still liked how it was executed. Especially because on the last stage of the last boss where she's begging you not to kill her, I actually stopped trying to attack for awhile and figured out that there was basically no pattern in that stage, you're literally killing an opponent who's given up.
