This is a bad game don't buy it. If you want a quirky lewd japanese game plenty of ones that actually have good game play like Senran Kagura: Estival Versus or Onechanbara Z2 Chaos. Light Gun shooters on a console are just lame man.

I'm not sure what's more weird, this game or the fact this game came out in North America but DOA Xtreme got so much heat so it didn't... (and this is a few notches above DOA)

Dan, my understanding is the Japanese regard their time in high school as the best time of their lives in the same way Americans do with college.

As an aside, the UI looks like they made it in MS Power Point...

@afterland: I didn't dorm in college so I think I recall High School as more fun because while more restrictive with what I could do, it was a lot more carefree. Also unlike Dan, and like most people I assume, as an architecture major I actually had to go to class and do the work to graduate.

Well @danryckert High School is probably one of the most sought and most likely legal to be fetishes by Japanese people, with lots of high school (and junior high school) forcing all school (public or private) to wear uniform. Also people fetishes uniform, so combine young age and uniform. You get lots of pervert themed high school stories.

Dan, This game's story sounds the same as the one Jeff played on UPF last year because that's the demo for this game.

Not to get into that whole debate, but western media and culture sexualizes underage girls to a big degree as well.
They are just more subtle about it, which to me makes it creepier.

Yeah, basically. Games like these are largely ignored by everyone in the west who don't play them, unless it's something like Rapelay which is just... yeah.

@simkas: Just look at how the TV, music and Hollywood industry depicts some of these pop and movie stars, what kind of pictures and headlines gets attraction in the tabloids.
This is not a cultural issue that is just exclusive to Japan.

And if you want some obvious example, there was that American beauty pageant show on TV.
