I don't understand what this game is

Game Shark (Action Replay) the game.

The idea behind this game seems really cool, but in execution it looks super boring.

I've been interested in this for a little while, glad there is a QL to help me with my buying decision.

This game looks like a really cool and inventive idea but incredibly boring

Yea I don't think this is being marketed at the action adventurers out there. I think this is more of a puzzle game targeted at people who are interested in game workings under the hood. For me as someone who dabbles at light scripting this seems super awesome and fun. If you just want to stab things with swords might want to look elsewhere.

I was skeptical when I first heard of this game but this is exactly what I'd hope it would be. The easy route would have been to give the illusion of hacking via attributes associated with certain entities but actual code modification is great.

Finally a quick look of this. I've been on the fence, because conceptually I love the idea, but as someone whose last bit of coding was making a Pong clone in Basic with his dad's help almost 20 years ago, I wanted to see if it was as intimidating to the uninitiated as it seems or not.

This is a very conceptually interesting game whose ideas I would like to see implemented in a more fast-paced actiony sci-fi kind of game. Very cool concept.

This week on Giant Bomb, Vinny's game breaking antics cause all space and time in the universe to collapse in on itself dooming us all!

For the last puzzle in the video wouldn't the most simple solution have been to change the 350 value to something lower like 6, which would mean that you could trigger the good thing simply by changing the count to 7 completely bypassing the fire blasting that happens if the value is above 10.

Presuming of course that the objective of that puzzle really was to trigger whatever was meant to be triggered when the value was above 350.

Vinny would fit perfectly in the Doctor Who crew.

I find the hacking elements of this incredibly interesting but the rest of the game doesn't do it for me.

Now if they had hacking like this in Watch Dogs...

This game looks like a lot of fun. Definitely going to get this when I have the money.

Vinny already is a master at breaking games which aren't meant to be broken, and then you go and make a game where that is part of the mechanics?! Madness!

With all the LUA code hacking and whatnot, I feel like this is Double Fine making a Last Starfighter game, where the best Hack N Slash player gets to work at Double Fine. Maybe Brandon Dillon is leaving and needs to hire his replacement.

I think this game is the coolest thing I have seen so far this year in games.

Okay, this game and this QL completely loses me at like...40 minutes in, when Vinny does...the thing.

I know, it's crazy, but it's true!

This game still looks awesome. I'm so glad I bought this cheap when it was still in early access. Since then I have been eagerly waiting for it to come out fully before playing it.

This could just be my GOTY

I wonder if its possible to use the bomb on yourself (maybe in conjunction with the boomerang) to dive deeper into your own code then really start messing things up.

Something that you don't see in this awesome quick look is the part running up to you getting that crazy bomb

So yeah, that code stuff is super intimidating, but it introduces it via a series of smaller puzzles where you just have to make very small tweaks to more limited bits of code that were nothing like as complex as what I was seeing there.

I'm really looking forward to the more complex stuff too, but I just wanted to reassure anyone who was wondering if there is any kind of introduction to those concepts.

I'm not sure this makes that leap that most Double Fine games fail to make between a neat thing and a good game.
