If the hallway is poisonous why didn't they put some poison fog at eye level? You wouldn't even know what was hurting you unless you look up at the ceiling, and the fog is so high up there looks like it shouldn't affect you. Are there enemies in this game, or is it just another one of those first person "walk around, read stuff" kind of games with the voice recognition stuff added as a gimmick? Seems awfully lame.

Oh great, I was hoping sending this to Vinny would get this game a QL.

This makes me miss all those OG Xbox games that used the Live headset for voice stuff. Especially the Rainbow Six games that let you do voice commands instead of button-presses, and would feed your AI teammates' radio chatter into the headset speaker. That stuff was cool.

I still dislike the pause in the action to say something, accompanied by the uncertainty you feel when speaking the words.

I'm not one of those crazy people who play games with a mic attached to my computer, so this is very much not for me, but this game seems kinda cool for what it is. That apparent trial and error section at the end though ...

The game gave me a huge At the Mountains of Madness vibe, which I really appreciate. So few games capture such an alien feeling environment.

Man, games are so pretty nowadays. The tools and engines for artists must be so much easier now. I feel so spoiled in this generation.

Wow, some of the small stuff in this seemed weirdly Metroid Prime-ish, with the health and the small creatures. Totally needed the Varia Suit at the end, too.

I am loving the absolute shit out of this game's artstyle. Totally with Alex, those spell portraits are great.

Yeah, there are some weird design choices in this game. It has graphics for the sake of having them, as opposed to using them to communicate anything meaningful to the player.

@jodski: It happens. I've moved around a lot, but whenever I'm back where I grew up (Lancashire), hang out with folk from where I grew up, or even when I'm drinking, my accents get noticeably more northern English and working class!
