Super interested to see what this is.

This looks pretty good, but it's not doing anything to convince me I should play it instead of Overwatch.

That sounds like the guy from Rick and Morty because it is exactly that guy doing the voice of the Blitzball.

Yeah, I hate to fall into the comparison pit, but I don't see much here that convinces me to take a break from Overwatch. Looks cool though.

I started off not interested in the game when the video started and that disinterest only increased as it went on. It just looks so boring. Even the character designs are so flat and uninspired. Nothing at all stands out from this.

I'm in my 30s, can someone tell me what it means when a game is horny?

Timestamp 5:55 proves otherwise. Dryhumping a flower pot is my definition of horny.

Why is this only available in 360p as the highest resolution?

They should have had Brad on this one because it seems like a game in the style of those oldschool hitscan shooters that he might have some cool things to say about.

I remember playing the closed beta and thinking it was neat. Now after seeing this quick look, I might hold off for a sale.

I put about 5 hours into the beta and I enjoyed my time with it but as mentioned in the video, you can tell this game has a free to play vibe all over it. I honestly think they probably should have gone that route because launch sales numbers for the game are abysmal. This is a pretty solid title that's going to be a sad story in a month.

It's so strange to release a competitive multiplayer game in 2017 with bland uninteresting character designs. Look at TF2, look at Overwatch, Dota even, those have interesting designs that set the characters apart from each other and the environment..none of the character artwork in this game has that extra bit of creativity that piques my interest.

Man, Loot Boxes are starting to bum me out.

Not because of micro transactions any of those kinds of reasons. You want to sell people stuff? Go nuts. It's the players choice to engage with that kind of thing.

No, it's because they're always the exact same thing. Loot. Boxes.

Call it a crate or a chest or whatever. It's a videogame. You can contextualize this stuff anyways you can think of but everyone is currently just dog piling on the box motif.

That may sound arbitrary I realize but we're talking about asking users for money here. To just go right for the most basic, no thought, "It worked for those guys. Let's copy it!" is so disappointing to me. As games continue down this path of Skinner Box monetization strategems you could at least not be so naked about it.

You can sell people random item packs in a zillion gussied up ways and methods that'd at least make it fit the context of your game better. But people seem so scared to deviate from this proven method, even in a meaningless presentational fashion, that we see this literally copy paste of here's a box with a fancy opening animation over and over again.

The lack of creativity on display grosses me out more then the business of it. They want money. Cool. I buy fighting game skins, so I'm dumb too. But do you have to act like the audience is too dumb to notice or care?

Anyways Lawbreakers seems fine I guess. Sorry, just wanted to complain I suppose. No one in my life would have idea what I'm talking about :p

Kinda shocked to hear this isn't actually free to play, I always thought it was going to be.

This game looks like it should have been the multiplayer mode in Shadow Warrior 2. Not to say its bad, just nothing special that stands out on its own.

Speaking as someone who has never played or ever had any interest in Overwatch, this looks like Overwatch but not a cartoon.

The feel of the combat in this game is really nice. I enjoyed my time with the closed alpha but I don't really have much interest in picking it up.

I hate Overwatch, but nothing in this makes me think I'd like it more.

This actually looks neat. I feel like the marketing for it has been thin, so who knows if it'll find a dedicated audience. The beta marketing was so full of '90s 'tude that it turned me off from playing then, but I should probably give it a try now.

Played it in beta and had my fill. Feels good, looks nice, but I don't like the vibe it lets off.

The tutorials seem like a real bad oversight, but the movement and gunplay looks neat. I might pick this up.

It's really disappointing to see so many people, Jeff and Ben included, not liking it. Their points are totally valid though, a game like this HAS to have good tutorials and a way to learn the game.

I've got so many hours from the closed alphas, all the betas, and now the release. The game is so awesome and has a ton of depth that most people can't really understand unless they try it. I was the exact same way - the wraith class is where it all clicked for me and everything made sense.

I love this game, but Jeff and Ben made some very good points, especially about the first impression being so important. Alot of the people who are digging this are coming from that old school UT/Quake community but if they want to succeed with a broader audience, they have to have a better introduction for people.

Alot of people compare it to OW which is understandable, but past the surface the two games are very different. I love overwatch too, but this plays nothing like overwatch does.

I hope the game does well - cliffy and the gang at bosskey sound committed to supporting it for the long haul so we'll see.

I am kind of wondering why the zero-g stuff is limited to just part of the maps.

I've been in since the first closed alpha and they never listened to the players. This game looks 100 percent the same except more characters and a lot more attitude and a talking fucking ball.

Fucking a cliffy you made the 3rd best fps franchise in history and squandered the unreal franchise for lawbreakers and Fortnite?

Also there was that one map only available for months I don't believe the game has more than like 5 maps and all you get is the first terrible one.

Hm. Seems neat and well put together at least. Honestly though I'd rather just wait to play the new Unreal Tournament (if they ever actually finish and fully release it) b/c I'm kinda burned out on class based shooters TBH.

As unremarkable as this game looks, it still looks like a good bit of fun and at $30, I think I might give it a try. If it doesn't hook me after an hour or so, I'll just get a refund on Steam.

This was marketed as a return to form for the multiplayer FPS genre--think Quake and Unreal Tournament--but playing it at E3, it reminded me more of Overwatch and Call of Duty. Compared to Quake Champions, Lawbreakers felt really slow. It's worth $30, though.

A little bit of Justin Roiland sure does go a long way. And maybe it's because I'm "old" or have a headache (or both), but kind of hard to follow what's going on sometimes. Oh well, not for me.
