I like this quick look with all the GBE crew in it minus the coughing but shit happens. Vinny's ideas do not side track the QL but they make the QL good.

I don't understand alex hating on this game by comparing it to the other lego games, when vinny asked him what he thinks of the game I don't think he was expecting that answer.

Having said you fallen off of the previous lego franchise I can understand, but this is nothing like those action games. I never tried one more than a demo on an xbox 360 before and it was so boring I couldn't believe this is what my beloved lego franchise has came to. Back in the 80s we had all the space ones filling up the basements at all our houses growing up.

Basically we have been waiting 30 years for a game like this and here it is, kids have no idea how lucky they are to have such an amazing lego game! Look back at all the lego games before this and there was nothing to compare to the flexibility, but to be fair we saw hardly none Of the lego building we just saw items being spewed everywhere from a cannon in this quick look :(

It wouldn't be the comments section of a GB video if someone wasn't diagnosing Dan and inferring things based on his lifestyle habits.

Narrator sounds like the one from Dungeon Keeper when he's reading the world names.

@thezela: I agree that sometimes it can get a bit overwhelming

Surprised how this game really IS doing a lot of what NMS tried it's hand at.

An orange crashed space ship named the PUG-Z, a nod to the Mega Drive game Puggsy?

Considering that "Puggsy" was also developed by Traveller's Tale — not their first, but very, very early in TT's career — I think your answer is: almost certainly.

I love Open World Vinny as much as anyone else, but man sometime it sucks when they just mess around a little too much rather than show off the game.

I would say for an open world Lego game this is the time to mess around.

I used to record a podcast with 2 other Brits and that's how they pronounced inventory. It was a long running gag.

I just wonder how much content is actually in there. I played the alpha when it first hit Steam and managed to do everything in about 2 hours. I know there's a lot more to do since then, but I wonder how many biomes there are and how many thing there are to unlock.

It has local split-screen, too, which seems like a blast.

I'm really into how dedicated this game is to the idea that everything is made out of bricks. Like the Lego movies. Just a shame it seems kinda janky with menus and all that.

I love that it tells you which Lego set each block or item was first featured in. This is the first Lego game I've been even somewhat interested in in ages.

As a Brit I pronounce inventory basically as "In-vent-tory", similar to how the narrator says it. I think the narrator is Peter Serafinowicz doing his posh voice (similar to John Wick 2).

Got this as Xbox Live has a sale going on for a few days with this & many other games a part of that sale. Very fun for a lighthearted exploration/adventure game & enjoying finding random tools/gear or kits to build over the gold bricks. Found the best thing to do with the underwater ones is to flatten the ground to the level of the water, change it to one thing like mud, (if the chest doesn't appear at the top of the flattened ground), use the jackhammer to drill down as you can't drill through the chest you'll stop there, then if I want to get rid of the chest replace the mud texture with water or just leave it there.

Need a better way in the map to figure out the beacon lights, most of the time like here in the QL where you give people something you will either get a gold brick, some plans to make something or you will get some random item. The random items are either tools to use like the jackhammer or a gun or it's something like a carrot or gem you then give to a character or animal to unlock it (so you can copy it for later quests or change your appearance).

I'd also enjoy seeing Vinny try more of this one out more to see what kinds of fun things there are to try out.
