Quick Look: Linelight

Oh hey, I was acquaintances with the guy who made this game when I was in college - he's super duper passionate about the stuff he makes and I saw him show this off at NYC indie showcases a few times. He poured his heart and soul into this so it's cool to see the GB guys reacting to it so positively.

@drewbert is also obviously not a fan of Clipse.

This music just makes me feel at peace with the world

Bought the game and soundtrack on steam after seeing this. It's very good so far.

Something about simple companions in games that just warms the heart. Maybe it's a nostalgia effect pulling me back to my memories of Journey, maybe not. All I know is Line Bro actually became a cool duder of his own not too long after he joined Brad.

This seems pleasant, in the most positive way you can use that word.

Also how did Brad not play Thomas Was Alone, That is such a "Brad" game. You'll love it.

I don't understand the Lara Croft Go love. I preferred Hitman Go. I finished Lara Croft Go and didn't think it was as creative, and it felt shorter as well. It looked prettier but that was about it.

I know "I'm not trying to defend Brad here" usually means "I'm going to try to defend Brad here," but...

I'm not trying to defend Brad here, but I think this style game just magnifies your foibles when watched by spectators. When I turned it off last night after just beginning the fifth world, I watched several lengthy play segments on my PS4 I had recorded, thinking I may do something with them for work. My play looked just as hesitant, indecisive and stuttery as Brad's, and I wasn't even trying to hold a conversation or verbally explain things to someone else.

So mellow and nice.

I appreciate the variety of games shown by including this one in a quick look.

So I'm currently on NG+ in this game. It comes with an additional 2 worlds after the credits roll plus there are hidden puzzles/collectibles in every world. I tuned out of this quicklook 5 minutes in to go buy it and haven't regretted a single second of my purchase. The end of the final world felt Brothers and Thomas Was Alone at times. <3 this game.
