I played the mess out of ATV Offroad Fury 2 back in the day, and this looks like it'll scratch that itch if I get in the mood to play a new one of these.

Also, Dan has the best tricks.

UTV's aren't stupid and I have no idea from this quick look if this game is any good but Dan seemed to enjoy it?

This just makes me want a new MotorStorm.

Someday we will get a quick look where Dan actually explains the game he has been playing. I might get this in a Steam sale, we need more dumb racing games.

@spindini: UTV's are a blast. I have a 4 seater that I take my family to the dunes in and we always have fun. Also way safer than a quad!

I remember ATV Offroad Fury 2 being insanely popular and always sold out whenever I went to get a copy. Such a great game.

I loved ATV Offroad Fury 2, might pick this up if it goes on a good sale.

@spottty: Yeah I bought a 2014 Polaris RZR 1000 last year and I love it. It's a lot more than a "golf cart" but I can see why someone who has never been on one would think that.

For Vinny - given the right conditions, motocross bikes can hydroplane across the surface of water Mythbusters did an episode on it. Here's a non-expert rider (Jamie) on a non-specially modified bike covering considerable distance.

An expert rider on a modified bike can do things like this:

Back in the early 2000s when I was in high schoolish my friend and I played motocross madness like every day. There still hasn't been a motorcycle game that was as fun as just driving endlessly into sand dunes. Why haven't we got a current day motocross madness I loved just launching off sand dunes.

I played so much of these games in the PS2 era.

Was thinking about getting this game as I recently enjoyed MXGP2. Apparently this runs pretty poorly on PS4? That was just one youtuber though and who knows what the details are.

Then I stumbled on some new Monster Energy Supercross game and that looks maybe better?

And I'll agree that its a little rough when racing games get coverage on here but eh..

Kind of off topic but I'm always confused by how little driving the giant bomb cast has done in real life. I was basically forced into driving around 21 despite having terrible eyesight and no depth perception. It seems when the topic of driving comes up most people say they haven't driven or don't drive. Rosie mentioned the other day he hasn't drove in years and Dan always talks about how he hasn't drove either. I think Alex drives but the rest of them always talk about how they don't drive. Is this just a San Francisco and now York thing? I grew up in Montana and moved to salt lake then Vegas before coming back to Montana and I've never taken a bus or any non car transportation. Do a lot of people in San Francisco just not drive? I couldn't imagine life without a car.

@steveurkel: in cities it isn't a necessity to have a car. I know many people here who do not have a licence and don't intend to get one

This was a fun QL that gave a good impression of what the game has to offer.

@steveurkel: New York and San Francisco are the two American cities where having a car is generally a bad idea. They are both so densely populous and have such expensive parking that driving yourself around is pretty much a wasteful luxury. The places you've lived, even Las Vegas, are spread out and rural in comparison. I live by Los Angeles and this is such a spread out sprawl of a city that driving is the way to go here IMHO.

I haven't actually owned any of the Rainbow motocross games since Motocross Madness 2. Do they still do that thing where they catapult your rider back into the map if you try to go beyond the borders of the open outdoor areas?
