Alex's character looks like the person who came up with the intro

I thought it was a pretty good concept. Play through high school and college and a few rookie games. Im fine with that but holy crap the execution was horrible. None of the characters are likable and when the story isn't being generic and cliche its so bad you can't look away.

I liked the parents and I liked the enthusiasm in everyones performance, it's not great but it's better than what they've tried before i just wish it was separate from my career. You can skip cutscenes though so it doesn't matter tbh

If they want to tell a story they should just remove the create a player feature or else you end up having a white dude with a African American voice and get weird situations like this.

That intro is very MK: Armageddon I like it

I've been enjoying the MyCareer mode a good deal once you get past the Spike Lee stuff in the first season. That story isn't great, but what is even weirder is the LACK of actual choice you have - it feels like stuff was cut out of it. There are multiple ten minute cutscenes where a character will scream at you about how you need to make a choice, how you have to pick, and then you never got a choice and your character just makes his own decision. Really odd.

FYI to the GBeast crew, the minimum age to enter the NBA is 19 which is why most players that are NBA ready still go to college for one year now. A few have gone to play in Europe and China for a year instead.

The Shaq in this game looks and sounds like he's having a stroke.

So that move that Vinny did to roll the ball out so the clock doesn't start is a very common move...does anyone know if you can do that on purpose or if it was just a dumb accident? If you can actually do that its a pretty cool feature!

Alex: We passed it.

@shankus: I'm wondering if it's just something that automatically happens when there are a few seconds left? Seems unlikely that Vinny somehow did it accidentally, but I guess it's possible. And yeah it's weird they were so floored by that move, I've seen it plenty of times.

Alex must not watch a lot of basketball if the moment at 44:48 seems crazy to him. Guards do that all the time to move the ball up the court without the clock ticking down.

Spain is pretty good at basketball I believe.

This 2k is one that plays the most agreeably for me since 2k7 or 2k10. They fixed some of the old AI passing exploits but dunks are prevalent and there's less sliding in front of people driving to the basket.

The Myplayer campaign is certainly a very, interesting, experiment that is more geared toward a specific experience. I almost got a Metal Gear vibe due to those cutscenes being long information dumps. I will say though, the face capture and animation in some scenes were pretty good, almost like a GTA style dialogue which was nice.

It would have been interesting to have some agency in the story being told, instead of it just happening to the player though.

I think its LT+Pass button. At least its been that way in past games. Haven't tried it in this one and they're constantly changing the passing controls year to year.

You could do it in last years and the year befores with a modifier and the pass button, not sure how to do it in this years as there are no modifiers just 3 pass buttons.

Players use the trick of not touching the ball until half court to keep the clock from starting all the time in the NBA. It's just only used when it doesn't matter, because when it does matter they usually have a defender sticking around to make sure they can't do that.

Yeah the intro to this game is puzzling and terrible.
