I could never really get into arena shooters.

Looking forward to what they say about this.

Since Brad likes fast shooters he should have been on the TNT for Tribes Ascend.

@Moncole: He was at the Xbox event with Jeff and Patrick.

It took me several tries and about 15 minutes just to connect to a game in the trial (which connects with full hand users). Considering you only need like 4 people to play, that's not a good sign.

Makes me want to fire up UT3.

the MVP from teh first match had a 9+ KDR but 0% accuracy? I think something may be broken

Sadly fast shooters don't have an audience on consoles and without a control device that allows you to move and aim faster and more precise they never will... someone invent a better controller please.;) 
 
Oh and I think the reaper bot was the first bot that was able to learn maps on its own, the others before it had only set routes for specific maps. (I might be wrong, but it sounds right)

I pray next generation allows keyboard/mouse support, it would be easy to allow filters where if you have a controller connected you can filter out KB/M players, hell sell first party mice/keyboards if that is what it takes.

The game is pretty fun, but it is really hard to find games sometimes due to lack of people playing. When it eventually comes to PC with (hopefully) dedicated servers, it should be much more fun.

Looks like aiming is terrible because its too quick for a controller.

Im not sure why anyone would buy this when they can get UT3 for 20 bucks on Steam.

Too much rubbish on the screen for a fast paced shooter. Nexuiz was/is real bad on the PC, so is Warsaw let's just go play Quake 3 OSP.

I always enjoy Dave's voice.

The name for this game is fucking retarded, but it looks alright. This really needs mouse and keyboard though, it is way too fast for a controller game.

@gave1: Considering how he was able to kill Brad at the start of the next game, I was wondering if something fishy wasn't going on. I hope it wasn't him trying to do anything though, because with a game with so few people playing why would you want to turn prospective players off from the game by giving them a cheap experience?

I really enjoy this game, reminds me of the good old days. The music is kind of cool too... thought it was kind of corny at first but now I'm digging it.

Why is Brad afraid of the rocket launcher? Arena first person shooters live and die by their rocket launcher and I haven't seen him use it once!

This game has a really dumb name.

I haven't tried playing this since Thursday, but I had the worst matchmaking problems. I spent as much time trying to get into a game as I did playing. That's not cool.

Not if you played PC games in the late 90s. I still play Quake Live somtimes and it's still the best.

Agreed. My first games (before I turned 10, mind you) were Duke Nukem 3D, then Doom, and then the Quake Series starting with 2. That said, what I played of this at PAX had none of the magic.

Also that shotgun looks bad. Shotguns shouldn't have range, they should reward you getting up close, giving you a shot or two to kill, not 5.

Man, that UI is awful. Goes along with the eyesore of an art "style".

Really it just makes me want to go play some Quake. And wish that id was making a new multiplayer Quake instead of a new Doom.

This just seems like such an odd fit for a gamepad driven platform, and on PC the eight player limit would be absurd.

The moment it comes out on Steam I'm getting this, I love fast paced shooters.
