Quick Look: No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise

Does anyone know if the EU version will get full blood and gore or are we gonna get fucked over again with bullshit 'ash'?

I am sure it says something that I am interested in this game, especially for $40. Not sure what it says, but definitely something.

The open-world driving was practically a deal breaker for me. I remember hearing it was purposely awful - like a parody of open-world games - but as soon as you fail a mission and have to drive to a location more than once.... I kept getting stuck in the geometry and turned it off

Platinumed this game, it's been out in Europe for quite a while. Loved it. I hope NMH2 gets the same treatment.

God, I love this series so much.

Cool a great game with the control scheme it deserves.

Fuck yes. Gonna buy two copies, one to play and one to display unopened. 

Do you really have to do that combo thing every time you want to kill someone? I was bored of watching that after the first 5 times, I can't even imagine playing through it.

The only changes I see with the game is the way the special abilities work. That being said, I actually enjoyed it more on the wii than with the controller on the PS3. Maybe the move controller would be better.

I enjoyed this game quite a bit on the Wii despite its obvious flaws. I absolutely love the style and the setting of these games but they were clearly never made for mass market success. I always got the impression that every jobber in Santa Destroy works part time as an assassin. This would explain why TT ends up fighting construction workers and baseball players and shit on his way to ranked fights. I just assumed that they all have rankings in the triple and double digits since they're so goddamn pathetic to fight. In short Suda 51 games are like the Jazz music of video games. It's about the stories he doesn't tell.

Its been out in the UK for about a month and a half.

I kinda want you guys to do a No More Heroes Endurance Run. I know you've probably played it already but it seems so well suited for what qualifies as an Endurance Run. and ten you could do one for No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle.

I'll get this game again.

I don't understand why this is being released as PS3 only in Europe and NA. Wasn't the point of this to recoup money from the original development? Why put in the effort to make a 360 version for the smallest available market of 360 owners?

My reason to finally get Move. Probably one, but what the hell. 

I've played it for a bit since it's been out in Europe for a few months (getting something first for once... CRAZY!!)

There are minor differences compared to the Wii version, namely that you can stock your Tiger modes, replay bossfights and rewatch cutscenes... oh and there's blood in the European version as well now.

Except for the English dub voice, Travis Touchdown looks like the blueprint for Garcia "fucking" Hotspur.

I still think motion controls are the best way to play this game. Grasshopper is one of the very, very small number of developers that "get" how to make waggle fun.

A tip for all of you: this game looks way cooler than it plays. Really. If the aesthetic isn't enough to carry you for the whole game, it WILL become tedium.

I might be going out on a limb here, but I don't think they like the Wii... 
 
This is one of my favorites and the QL really makes me want to go through it again. I really need to pick up the second one as well.

They should include a mode that cuts out 50% of the grunt enemies so we can skip to the fun parts.

Forgot how much I loved this goddamn game

I dont find the writing all that amazing. Combat looks really dumb, and I dont think I like games where I dont care about the protagonist.

Makes me sad that Ryan didn't use any combos with the melee buttons. He makes the game look boring with square, square on easy mode.

Bonnie Tyler would surely be disappointed...

I never finished the original because the free roam parts got repetitive, but watching this has made me want to pick the game up again. I really wanna see the craziness of the other bosses, but could never get to it.

If you have never played No More Heroes, do yourself a favor and do it.

Yeah, def gonna play No More Heroes again on WIi this weekend. 

I REALLY enjoyed this on the wii, dunno if its worth it to play it again on the ps3 though :/
