SO GOOD.

And if you didn't get to the Rank 2 boss, you missed some of the best boss music this whole generation.

Ryan, if you flick the analog stick again while you are doing the your finishing move, you can add an area effect on the sword and kill multiple people who are close together. I don't think the game ever actually tells the player you can do this.

It's 40 bucks and it comes with extra goodies like the "Very sweet mode".  Why would you NOT buy it?

I'm excited for this.  I liked it on the Wii but I just don't play that system anymore.

This doesn't seem to play anywhere near as good as the Wii version, to be honest.

I'll have to pick this up. I enjoyed the Wii version enough but I just could not get over how terrible it looked in motion.

I thought NMH2 played better with a Classic Controller than Wii Remote, though "clicking in R3" in this game seems kinda weird.

The first No More Heroes was a crazy-ass game. The gameplay wasn't great, but the crazy more than made up for it. No More Heroes 2 improved upon the gameplay, but was MUCH less crazier, which was very disappointing. And Shadows of the Damned wasn't as crazy either. It seems as Suda's game become more like, well, actual games, the less crazy they get.

Here's hoping Lolipop Chainsaw goes back to being super mega crazy.

Killer7 is still my favorite Suda game. That was super mega ultra crazy, and I'd like to see a follow-up of that: either a Director's Cut or a new game. Killer7 is owned by Capcom, though, so it's up to them. Knowing how bad they are at making decisions, they would probably do it without Suda if they decided to revisit the game.

The pad works alright, judging by the demo, motion control is just for recharging the sword's battery.
Tried it using the Move, feels really...weird.... EDIT: I mean the demo. As much as I want to get the Asian version(Red Zone) right now, I don't have a Debit Card(Yet), so I have to wait till Aug. 16 for it to hit my retail store.

Why get the Asian version? This is the same version as The Red Zone, only translated.

Hm, I'd totally be all over this if I had a PS Move controller. Because the standard controller really seems to take part of the fun out of what made NMH great fun to play.

Also the beginning movie does play in the original, it's not a demo exclusive thing. ;)

I rewatched some of the cutscenes of this one a while ago and boy, the one before the #1 is so damn great. It even has a reference to Duke Nukem Forever in it.

I really need to play the second game as well. Sometime.

I stand corrected, but I still think the voice doesn't fit the character; I hope the JP VA is more appropriate.

Loved this game on the Wii. Using the Wii remote gave me the very disturbing feeling that I was more connected to the grotesque violence taking place, which was totally unique and almost as disturbing as the game's dialogue. Top notch in the over the top stupid department also helped this game hold my interest even when certain mechanics felt broken.

Because Red Zone is actually already released, and if Play-Asia is to be believed, the Asian version is in English

@MooseyMcMan: @MooseyMcMan: @CaptainFish: @Quacktastic: When playing with the move controller there is no extra input before using the finishing move. Combat moves at a much faster pace this way. I agree that it was a weird choice to make the dualshock controls work this way, especially when you consider that NMH2 on Wii had classic controller support that didn't add any extra button presses.

LOVED this game on Wii. Not really sure if it would be nearly as fun without the physicality of swinging the Wiimote/Move controller for the killing blows.

It's too bad the sequel ended up being a steaming pile...

Both Wii versions are good in me eyes. It had a distinct look to fit it's gameplay and personality. Changing it to HD just doesn't work: just looks lazy with all the vacant corridors. Made sense on the Wii because of it's limitations and wasn't a distraction; It just worked.   This is a mansion right? Throw in a few chairs and maybe a couch at least.  It looked as if Travis was trying to find a real estate agent in that place the whole time.

The boss fights were the best part of both games honestly.  Sylvia would always call you and tell you the boss was ahead(like you didn't figure that?) when got approached the area with the bathroom. The dialog usually lasted about a minute. The problem with this area was that you are forced to walk the entire time. To the toilet, to the boss fight, to get your new wrestling move. A pain, but was changed in the sequel thankfully.

Motion controls worked great too. Using a control pad just seems annoying. Do you really want to try and press the R3 button down constantly each time or just thrust your wrists in one or two directions with little effort? Seems like a no brainer to me. Shouldn't mess up your finger placement that way. Didn't screw me up.

"My spleen!" Yeah, you hear that alot. It's like a Spongebob Squarepants episode: you know someone is gonna say "my leg" at some point or another. Doesn't even matter if they get hit in the leg or not; it's announced regardless.

The one thing I hated was the free roam sequence in NMH. Fucking terrible and repetitive. You need to earn money to purchase the next boss fight. Was absolutely tedious to constantly drive around areas that had challenges and mini games to earn money.  Some mini games had charm while others were just stupid.

I'm glad that Desperate Struggle got rid of the free roam mechanic and changed the mini games 8-bit style to separate itself from the actual story. Got rid of having to pay in order to unlock the next boss fight, so you could beat this game as fast or as slow as you wanted. This made me love the sequel so much more.

Also, I'm pretty sure both NMH and DesperateStruggle we're sold at only $20 upon release. Bargain right there. Now, their re-releasing a port for double the price? What are they adding adjusting? I'm not interested in looking it up as I already own and beaten both games.

I've beaten both NMH on the Wii. If it weren't for Nintendo's amazing first party titles, I could easily say they'd be my favorite games on the system.

I played the demo for this and I just wanna buy it again and play through it in HD. I dunno why I love these games so much, but they're just so damn fun and refreshing. And it's looking wonderful in HD. I wish it would've been bundled with NMH2 in HD though. That would've made it an instant purchase. Also I wish it was on the 360. It's especially weird because it is on the 360 in Japan...

Also I'm no super pro wiimote guy or anything, but after playing the demo on the PS3 I can honestly say I like the Wii's controls better. The only thing that is of course an improvement is camera control, but that wasn't ever a huge issue with me in the original version anyway. That satisfying motion you do with the Wiimote to slice someone's head off leaving a geyser of blood just can't quite be matched with the right analog stick. I'm sure the Move would make the controls just like the Wii's, but I don't have a move or want one.

Whatever, Imma get this.

I live in Calgary.  There are no golden days here.  We might approach bronze, maybe, one or two days per year.  The rest is frozen misery and then a week where most of the city decides its fun to wear cowboy hats and abuse animals for sport.

You weren´t waggling the control in the wii version, you just move it up or down for high and low attacks and for the QTE the slashes were made by pressing A , and the wii-mote speaker served as Travis cellphone wich was awesome , my only gripe against this game was the open world parts wich were tedious and boring other than that, No more Heroes is still one of the best games on the wii
