Its hard to watch them play these kind of games. It always frustrates. It certainly not on the level of a "leave behind the flying time machine and wander around aimlessly for a whole episode" situation but frustrating none the less. I don't blame them so much as our innate need to solve things and not have control of it happening.

Well said - I would say that if the innate need inspires you to pick up the game and solve the things yourself, then the Quick Look has done its job to some degree.

It's sad seeing all these circle jerk comments about how Patrick sucks at games and it's o so frustrating to watch him play yadayada. Some of you seemingly have no patience, he got stuck for what like 30 seconds at a time max? Everyone has those moments where they just completely miss a simple solution for some reason in a game and talking at the same time doesn't make puzzle solving easier, cut him some slack. Like seriously, if you're "pulling your hair out" after a few seconds of a puzzle not getting solved you really need to learn some patience and destress a little. Yeesh.

Anyways, this game looks cool. Pretty original mechanics, which is hard to do in such a saturated genre. Thankyou for showing it off and I apologize on behalf of all the whiners who have to nitpick and whine about the littlest things (and meanwhile criticize Patrick for nitpicking lol, talk about hypocrisy?) every single Patrick video just be to cool like everyone else.

The ending (to the game) is pretty good.

@darkest4: This game is not that original, echochrome did the same basic thing. Using perspective to build the level, although I'd say the way they did it was a little better than switching modes like in this.

Oh man, this looks exactly like what I've been craving for. The small puzzles which make you feel like a genius, which is what made portal partially great. Throw in some well written whit, not forced, and this could be as great...

This must be Valve's new mechanic for Portal 3.

This is quite a nice little game! I'm impressed with how far they have developed it. My props to the programmers. Looks like madness to code.

Hey Patrick, just because you can't figure out the puzzles, don't blame the game. I couldn't detect a hint of jaggy in the video. Student project or not, it was a competent game. Own up next time.

They have a derkwad of mirrors on their site.

What's the connection between this and GB though?

Perspective has been making the rounds among people that look at indie/student level games. It was also talked about on the podcast Idle Thumbs recently. 2/3 of the Idle Thumbs crew are Rodkin and Vanaman who Patrick interviewed extensively for the Walking Dead stuff. Brad also guested on the podcast way way back when. It might not be overtly visible, but they're all probably friends so it makes sense that they would know about the same things. I might be connecting too many dots, but whatever.

EDIT: OR ALSO YOU COULD BE TALKING ABOUT THEIR WEBSITE WHAT IS LIFE OH GOD

YOU ARE CONNECTING TOO MANY DOTS. It's just a cool game I've been keeping track of since it's first trailer in 2012, and the developers gave me a heads up on the finished game back in December.

MORE DOTS.

Sorry.

Great job! Love seeing these unique and forward looking games get some coverage. Immediately downloaded and played through this game. Gave my brain the a similar tingle as Portal did all those years ago.

Been playing this game and it's fun, but it's start screen puts the cursor set on "NEW GAME" instead of "Continue" which if you're clicking through really fast on the controller you end up ERASING your save! :( I was about an hour in and I don't feel like repeating it.

@None_Braver: To be fair, how the jumpy-man works isn't 100% intuitive; I got through half the arcade before I figured out the details of how he sticks to walls.

The "janky" part was not actually janky. The angle of the blue corner was creating a wall, and the orange block in the background was killing him.

Very cool idea. I probably won't play this, but I hope the idea lives on in another game's arm.

Good job, creators!
