That opening was so worth it

The first half of the first mission is pretty much the only good part of the DLC--but it is admittedly very good. Still, it all quickly goes downhill from the on-rails sequence and just keeps getting worse.

That GANGSTAAAAAAS INNNNNN SPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACE was perfect.

Watched 5 minutes and then stopped the video; I'm gonna play this myself. The mistake I made with SR3 was that I saw/heard-about way too much of that game through GB videos/podcasts.

Okay, I had to stop watching this after the 'the government wont escape with the alien' line to avoid further spoilers. Completely sold.

So far, the Season Pass DLC for Saint's Row 3 has just solidified my belief that I should never buy a Season Pass for a game again.

The Third's season pass certainly hasn't improved the relations between consumer and concept to be sure, but that's unfortunately (so far... maybe Clones will be outstanding...) just a generally poor season pass deal. Uncharted 3's season pass, for what it's worth, has been fantastic and featured solid selection of value. It's all primarily multiplayer stuff, though, but speaking for the sheer volume of content put against the price, it's a complete contrast of the shitty season pass for Saints Row The Third. L.A Noire is another great example at giving fans what they're paying for and then some.

Problem is of course is it's always a gamble... a game like Saints Row The Third you'd expect would have a pretty meaty stack of inventive DLC lined up. Deciding on which season pass to invest in should probably be more dependent on the developer rather than the game I think. I mean Rockstar are always going to have outstanding deals when it comes to DLC, so any kind of Season Pass they'll release (and if it's lined up with what I'm after from the game) I'll be willing to give a shot.

I'm sure a lot of people have already said this but Vinny is hilarious in every quick look he's been in.

I still feel like that crib music is probably the most overrated track in the game. But of course that's totally subjective.

Also, the really should have included all the extra costume and weapon stuff in the pass. Saving a $1 when one of the DLC was pretty bad and the other was pretty short has really soured me on the concept of the season pass.

Was hoping for something more substantial but this is already better then Genkibowl.

The humor of this DLC is way more up to par with the full game. I may have to get this.

That Union Buster Achievement is pretty great.

There's something very Archer about this DLC. Well, hell, most of The Third, for that matter.

As for making a "boring" boss, I totally get that. But at a certain point, the game just got so weird, that I made a Comedian/Old School White Boots Gloves Punisher boss, a retired badass former superhero and the game made so much more sense, then!

Yeah, I'm not going to complain because THQ gave me the season pass and genki launcher stuff free for preordering directly through them, but for the most part I never get season passes.

Pretty much 99% of the time, a season pass is still available after the "season" is over and no more DLC is coming out, so you can just wait until then. The only instance where I recall getting burned on that was with the Marvel Ultimate Alliance (1 or 2?) DLC, where they pulled it all off the store because of licensing issues.

It's also really kind of ridiculous, because I'm not going to pop a game I've finished back into the tray for just one new mission each time. I'd rather wait and do it all at once, make a full gaming session out of it.

While this DLC was short, it was way fun. Much, much better than Genki. Of course, I played through with a female with a female voice, and there is some small differences in the lines, a few mentions of girls sticking together, but you still get a bit of sexual tension between your boss and Jenny. And the bad acting is so great.
