Quick Look: Serious Sam 3: BFE - Preview

i love the serious sam games so i can't wait for this to come out as for the ADS and reloading i'm totally ok with that because it still looks like some serious sam ass serious sam.

This definitely looks like an Serious Sam game, but I don't understand why they thought including ironsights and sprinting was necessary...
 
Also, Brad is the worst Serious Sam player ever. 

Why are there ironsights and reloading? There aren't ironsights and reloading in Serious Sam. This can't be Serious Sam :(

I truly enjoyed playing through the shinier newer Serious Sams. Can't wait for more SERIOUS FPS action.

"They need to get the dynamic range of their audio between a certain range, as it gets too loud sometimes. You need to put a compressor on it, the best method is a 'brick wall limiter'.

The people that are offended at the iron sights, sprinting, and assault rifle are completely missing the point of what Serious Sam was in the first place. Stop being a bunch of babies.

After thinking about this game, it's starting to make sense. The other Serious Sams were a parody of what shooters had evolved to in the time after Half-Life. Where most singleplayer modes started to focus on heavier stories and better atmosphere, Serious Sam went back to the basics of fast-paced gameplay and circle-strafing with crazy monsters.
 
This seems very much in the same vein but in the context of modern shooters following the likes of Call of Duty, hence the iron sights and kinda middle-eastern looking setting.

The Sam serious has always been in the Middle-Eastern region. The only exception was "Serious Sam II" (really the third game).

This seems like a game I would enjoy. Not something I'd want to play with a controller though, and I doubt my portable could handle this.

I should play some of that HD remake I downloaded off of Steam.

I think this is as much first-person shooting as you can possibly fit into a game.

the visuals are so bad.  but the gameplay looks hilarious.    can't wait to coop it with too many players

Brad's been in a bunch of quick looks lately, maybe they should give him a break. please.

Not too happy about the CoD influences here but I do prefer it to the cartoony direction they went with in Serious Sam 2. Hopefully at its core it will still play like a SS game should: fun, frantic mayhem with crazy weapons and awesome music!

I was dismayed at first, because what I saw was more representative of a modern military shooter than the Serious Sam I know and love. Also didn't help that the guns did not look crazy at all. 
 
Then Octo-Copter happened. Then the screaming headless dicks with flying bolas happened.  Yeah, this is Serious Sam.

Just by looking at this game shows how "Serious," I will be playing it. ^_^

"Serious Sam" doesn't mean "No ironsights or sprinting," Serious Sam is supposed to play off what shooters has become, and thus must evolve and adapt to continually provide said parody.  For classic Sam fans, they released the HD 'remakes' for just that reason.

Loved the old games on PC, even had fun with the kind of bad xbox port. Don't have a good PC now, anyone know if this is coming to PSN?
