Quick Look: Soft Body

Gimme dat soft body

Despite having been around and used the terms "soft body" and the alternative "rigid body" for years, I still get a bit of a chuckle from them.

My favorite menu option in anything was Maya's "Set rigid body interpenetration"

I don't think I'd want to play this, but I like everything about it.

I wish somebody would make a dumb abstract hipster OS that looked like this.

Not really feeling it but I imagine it will make it's way to PS+ sooner or later.

Long stick map made me believe. This weirdly reminds me of Hotline Miami's pacing.

This is a really fantastic video game and even gets better from what you see. There are some very clever levels on hard mode. In one of them there's an enemy that homes in on you and leaves a path like Snake or a Tron Light Cycle and you have to use your left stick body to clear out a path for your right stick body to push around the ball. It'll make you feel stupid, but it's super good.

Brad and Dan fused together would just be Dan with a deeper voice.

Windmill level looks like some Flywrench shit. Except humanly possible to beat.

This reminds of Knights in the Nightmare. Very weird abstract game play with bullet hell like shots to dodge. Except KIN has a weird jrpg story about dead Knights.

Neato! I often find shmups to have a rather meditative quality to them. This seems to be a bit of an extension of that lineage.

@merxworx01: I remember being interesting in that when it came out, but never got around to trying it. It looks bananas.

@pants_ghidorah: its like playing ghost trick, ff tactics and a bullet hell game in real time while enemies are shooting at you. All the while you have to move your ghost powering objects in the living world and avoiding traps in the Ghost world. It's hard to makes sense of the game. Even screen shots look confusing.

Something about this reminds me of a Jonathan Mak game.

My exact thought as well! First time I saw this game on UPF I immediately thought of Everyday Shooter.

Wow - I do not understand how a game this hard can be fun ... no thanks...more power to the people who can find banging their head against this fun but definitely not for me. Real life is hard enough I don't need my games to be this hard...
