Not my kind of game but looks really cool, maybe a bit too much motion blur though. I only managed 10 minutes of Amnesia before I'd had enough, but I'm really glad these games exist.

Does this have Oculus Rift support? Because if it does... Fuck.

Can't wait to pick this up for free on PS4 with my PS+. Although I'm tempted to pick it up on Steam for Halloween.

I think I figured it out. Patrick is not using the second cam to show his reactions but to remind us how his face looks like. Patrick thinks we have the memory of a goldfish and already forgot his face just because he's not in the office anymore.

Also, Pew die pie is a German kids show.

This might be the first real survival horror game I'm gonna play. I'm a chicken when it comes to horror games though, I even had to pause this video when I had to drink, so I wouldn't accidentally spill on myself or my computer.

I'm going to get this for PS4 at some point and play/cry myself to sleep... it's gonna be great.

Thanks for biting that bullet Pattrick but I really have to wonder how you will manage to not die when you're playing these games with an Oculus Rift!

I don't know what the problem is...I think the set up for spookin with scoops and this is perfectly fine. I don't find it insulting at all, in fact I think its cool to see Patrick do things like look behind him because I can totally relate.

Goddamn that was good. And man, the jump scare? Knew it was coming and it still scared the shit out of me. That stuff in the basement was great, rooting for Patrick and thinking things like "Nope! Don't go out there! Oh shit, I told you! runnnnnn!" :P Intense stuff. I'd love to watch Patrick play through that whole game.

Great stuff Patrick. I love watching you put yourself in these situations, despite how clearly uncomfortable they make you. It makes for very entertaining viewing. 10/10. P.S.. Please ignore asshats like nerkroskop and continue using the Scoops cam; seeing your reactions is a huge part of why I love this series.

I liked the coffee mugs that just said "COFFEE" on them.

Oh! A game which has actual interactions using hands always scores points in my book. I still don't understand why a lot of AAA games don't have this while Indie games do.

My natural suspicion when people put a camera on themselves while playing scary games is, "Are they just hamming it up?" I wonder what percentage of the "scary game reaction" cams on YouTube (and there are a ton of them) are more performance pieces than genuine reactions.

The cam shit is a dumb gimmick that relies on me actually thinking your reactions to not-that-scary videogames are genuine and/or entertaining, they are neither. It replaces any sort of actual substantial content or commentary the video could have because the creator thinks that replicating hundreds of thousands of videos that already follow the same tired convention will somehow actually be different or more entertaining the ten millionth time it has been done.

Please re-evaluate.

@alexandersheen: Don't Jeff and Alex do the same when they are playing a game on their own. You never see people complaining about that.

I guess it's my word against yours, but everything in these videos is 100% genuine. It's why I wait until late at night, it's dark, and everyone is asleep. To each their own, though!

I don't know what's freaking me out more - the game, or Patrick's creepy night vision camera eyes lol. Well, maybe not night vision but the reflection of the monitor in the dark room.

Really looking forward to spookin with scoops this week now. This seems great.

Thats because they're not designed to show off the player pulling stupid faces whenever there's a jump scare. These scarecam videos have appeared all over YouTube ever since a tall stickman started terrifying some very easily scared people.

Sorry Patrick, but when you introduce something popularised by PewDiePie to Giant Bomb then you should expect some people to have a kneejerk reaction. Obviously if thats what people want, keep doing it but I kind of come here to escape those YT fads. Just my thoughts on this format.

Oh yay! I've just been trawling the web for Outlast content, and Patrick delivers yet again!

Maybe this is the reason why i can't enjoy the majority of horror-flicks, but that journalist has to be the worst I've ever seen!

He get's a tip that some evil corporation is experimenting on innocent people in an asylum. He actually manages to get into the asylum and meets the patients!

But instead of interviewing them, telling them he could expose this whole story to the world, they could escape together and get them some help, he's just staring at them or running away from them.

I mean, Billy's mother will be happy so get her son back and see him alive and all that stuff you videotaped, plus the collected documents, that should make fine evidence for her already running lawsuit.

Even worse: Poor guy in the wheelchair, who obviously can't walk (hellohoo wheelchair?!) tries to grab the journalist, begging for help, but just gets tossed into a corner like a piece of trash!

Yeah sorry, but when you behave like that to these people, it's no surprise they try to hunt you down, they probably think you belong to the facility personnel! This whole thing could have been over in like 5 minutes, using the miracle of logic and rational thinking, but now it's gonna drag on :P

I didn't even know who PewDiePie was until very recently, and certainly didn't start doing Spookin' With Scoops or anything else that I do based on him or anyone else. Having the camera in the corner is certainly a divisive element, but specifically with Spookin' With Scoops, it allows me to communicate directly with the audience and help relay part of the experience. If there was a way to give you the option to flip it off, I definitely would, and I'm certainly open to making changes in the future.

Thanks for showing this. I saw it this morning and managed to get the discount price for it 15 minutes before it activated on steam. I liked what I saw, but I'm doing a re-run of Space Marine which is such an incredible game despite it's auto save..

I can only handle Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs or Outlast, and since I've been anticipating Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs for so long I'm going to play that first. Outlast seems to be really well done, and I plan on checking it out during a Steam sale, but my heart couldn't possibly take these two games back-to-back.

I personally like the "gimmick" of having a video feed of the person playing a horror game, that's part of the fun for me as long as the person playing isn't hamming it up (like PewDiePie seems to be doing a lot of).

Anyways, really liked this QLS!

As a user that subscribes specifically for Spookin with Scoops, I would urge Patrick to keep the camera on, even for a solo quick look like this. It adds a whole lot to the experience. This stuff is pure gold, as far as I'm concerned.

Yep. I think I may add this to my collection of horror games that I intend to buy and then play for all of 30 minutes before wussing out completely.

I'd actually love to see completion stats from the developers to see how many people actually get to the end of these games...

Kinda comes off as a game which Condemned wanted to be but this kind of no-action-game wasn't really a thing back then. If they were to make Condemned today I'm pretty sure it'd be a whole lot like this.
