I really don't see the problem with the face cam. So long as Patrick doesn't play up or exaggerate his reactions it seems like a completely harmless inclusion.

That part with the generators was so stressful and terrifying for me, I probably died 50 times. (And by "died" I mean got caught and immediately restarted the section because I couldn't handle trying to run.) After getting past it, watching it again is still extremely stressful.

I play this in nVidia's 3D Vision and it makes this twice as scary, especially alone in the dark, with good quality headphones on. The 3D gives it a whole new level of feeling like you're in the game, especially how the movement of your character and the way you react to the environments in the game are quite well done to begin with.There's a nice fix for 3D Vision users by HeliX here: https://s3.amazonaws.com/-HeliX-/Outlast.zip

Such a bummer how mean spirited some people get just because of the 'scare cam'. I think it's a fun way of showing Patrick's genuine emotions while playing the game. Can't see why you'd get all upset about it.

So, I just get this for free on PS+ come time for the PS4? I'm totally cool with that. Looks neat. Like a mixture of Condemned, Fatal Frame, and Slender. Not a bad thing at all.

I am not going to pretend I am some super manly man by acting like nothing scares me so I am going to fully admit that I dont know how Patrick does this. I can sit through your average horror movie (non-torture porn) and I can even sit through a QL of a game like this even if it creeps the hell out of me, but playing a horror game is beyond me. Even when there are cheesy predicable jump scares, the atmosphere and the fact that you are committing to every move yourself is more than enough to make me freak out. Keep it up Scoops, but I will never understand the fascination

You need to crank that gamma up higher, man. We can't see anything in the really dark areas. (Didn't even see the logo on the gamma screen.)

Just tried playing this.... NOPE!

Hahaha I'm slogging through it on PS4 ever so slowly and maaan the thing that gets me more than anything is the sound design the music is what really builds the tension to a breaking point.

Outlast...more like Outkast...references.
