yay a quicklands borderlook :P

Just grabbed this on Steam last night, seems pretty awesome a couple of hours in, as janky as you'd expect.  There's a lot of railing that you would think would keep you from falling over the edge into the abyss.  Don't believe it! 
 
Also, it's not great at scaling, I went in on my 1st playthru completion and all the enemies are low 30s while I'm 45.  So kind of a bummer from that perspective.

I'm still contemplating whether to get it since I still haven't finished the main game. I may get it just so its there tho once i finished it tho.

Finished this with friends last night.  Took about 10 hours total.  10 hours for 10 bucks?  Damn fine job by Gearbox.  Also, you ran right by a hidden achivement  there at the end.  And it hurt :(

Really digging everything about this DLC, can't wait to play it.

Jeff, i would look for a nice continuous fire smg or assault rifle. For assault rifles i would look for a "glorious havok" with a scope. Glorious havoks, with +to clip size skills and a nice heavy gunner class mod, get a huge clip around 140 rounds and you can fire all of that in one continuous stream of death. Its profoundly wasteful of bullets, but this takes advantage of rolands ability to regenerate very large amounts of ammo. Supply drop is actually very useful for this if you havent tried it. It regenerates over 100 bullets at once when the supply drop homes onto you.
 
My weapon of choice is a "double stinger" its a fast shooting smg with a nice scope. The double in the name means that  it shoots two bullets simultaneously, making its damage very high.
 
Also i never mod, hack, or accept hacked weapons, i have a couple extra legit guns if you want them. :)

I can't wait to get to dig into this. I'm about half way into Heavy Rain, but it is hard to resist the pull of some Borderlands action.

It would be nice if Steam wasn't such a bunch of greedy fucks and didn't charge 10$ more for the game. I really want to buy this for a friend but can't ship a physical copy to them.

Brick is my main, and I tare shit up!  Running up, punching fools, and blasting 'em with a shotgun all the way.  I can't wait to finish my second play through to jump into this dlc.

It was a lot easier for me after I re-speced my solider. I forgot that my skill tree was in  "Moxxi mode" where all my points were in medic stats.

The DLC look fun as hell, unfortunately it basically requires you to start the DLC at level 50 (i.e. it does NOT scale down to say, my level 45 toon).  That is a major bummer because I really wasnt planning on grinding my way to 50 JUST to be able to play this DLC.  Not sure I ever will either.  *sigh*

I think Jeff played Forza 3.. He tells the other guys during the quick look that most American cars honk in the key of 'F'. That is one of the lines you'll see during the loading screens in Forza 3. He's got a good memory lol!

Those probes are no problem with The Hunters Trespass ability.

I'm about 12 hours into General Knoxx and still not done. I'm about to head into the Armory, so I still have yet to experience Crawmerax for myself. But goddamn...this add-on is just pure fun all the way through. It's really great to see Gearbox taking what they've learned from the other DLCs and the main game and applying that here. Gives me even higher hopes for where they take the Borderlands name in the future.

I found an awesome corrosive scoped revolver and now I'm breezing through. Lvl 57 so far.

Now I want to make Borderlook, damn you jeff! 

Also, how did you get so much money? Did you actually get all of it from quests and chests?

You couldn't be farther from the truth. I just beat it as a level 45 Soldier and it was way to easy. You'll want to be in the 30s fro this. "

Good quick-look. I still think this game is massively overrated. Not really interested in spending $40 on all the DLC when most of the features (i.e. weapon bank, level cap increase) should be title updates. All this is doing is encouraging developers to take out things like item storage, and giving a low level cap to charge for it later.

for playthrough 1 maybe, that puts everything at 35 to start. playthrough 2 starts at 51. "

Do I need to be lvl 50 to enjoy this?  I've heard elsewhere that the scaling starts at 50, and you'll just get rocked if you're below.  I'm sitting at 42 after finishing the main game once and Zombie Island.

not really relevant to video but did anyone use eridian weapons? i see that jeff didn't and neither has anyone i've talked to.
