Quick Look: Titanfall

Point being: You attack those comparing it to CoD, and then compare it to CoD.

If you're saying that people are saying the two are identical in every single way, then you're wrong, no one is saying that.

It would be cool if this game was like a MOBA and could support hordes of grunts to fill those moments when you're hunting for enemy players.

i think it's lame that you spend a decent amount of time not piloting the mechs.

This game looks really unappealing visually. Even with "Insane" textures on PC it looks like every desaturated brown FPS from the previous console generation. The weapons look like modern guns with random rails and lights slapped on and titans look so generic it hurts. It seems like Respawn is trying to make a next gen FPS with updated gameplay mechanics but the art direction is so uninspired and cliched that it makes the game as a whole feel like Call of Duty with mechs even though the gameplay has changed.

Man, watching this was a little rough. All the on launch day server issues shown in the video are pretty much gone. They patched the game pretty quickly to fix the whole thing. Hopefully it stays working. After the whole Battlefield fiasco I could easily see this doubling down on the malice so many internet people hold for Ea.

People like to bash the campaign here, but it's not like the campaign in the critically lauded Call of Duty games was really any more involved than this. You're shooting unnamed dudes and listening to guys yell at you. The only difference here is that the unnamed dudes are better at shooting you, and the people yelling are delegated to a small corner. Hell, it's probably a more honest way of handling the narrative in these types of games. They don't fucking matter.

Oh Brad... Drew mentioned "Cern" because of the "earn" rhymes, not because he was actually curious about Cern. Whoosh!

Sort of painful to watch Jeff play with controller on PC. I will never understand why people would want to limit themselves like that

While I'm not the biggest multiplayer fan or believe that Titanfall is a system seller (or even worth $60), I do think this game looks great and the gameplay seems very solid and fun, if you like this sort of thing.

As soon as Jeff said this game required an internet connection I foresaw EA shutting it down in three years. Yep. This huge game will be gone soon.

The menu sure has changed since launch with all the season pass content they added.

Really enjoyed this game, but jeez did Respawn make the Regen process a grind with all the challenges. And I even played it after they lowered a whole bunch of the requirements.

I miss Titanfall, love Apex legends though ..
