Ben was a little off in his guess about how far he was through the game. He was maybe at a 1/6th, certainly not a 1/3rd. About halfway through you can swap between all 4 of the characters. Also, it is a direct sequel to Teslagrad storewise, the little girl in blue is a teslamancer.

I don't know if this is because of habit or if he's fresh, but Ben seems to play games (or just these QL videos) in a frantically impatient manner. Not a fan of it.

@steveurkel: Wish they just skipped this game instead, gotta be better things out there that deserve some attention.

I think some of the games they've shown (particularly the ones Ben has shown for whatever reason, maybe not his choice) have been bad. This game, that rats game, that super bear game and probably some others. I think it is just because E3 is getting closer and they are planning for that.

I hope they show morrowind today or soon but I don't think anyone is playing elder scrolls online.

Quick Looks aren't just about showing off only the best games out there.

Yeah, but they ARE supposed to be entertaining (because of a combination of the game's unique qualities and the GiantBomb commentators' reactions to them). Seeing the QuickLook player struggle with the game in a way that seems to be their own fault isn't much fun, and selecting games (or sections of the games) that seem generic isn't very informative.

A good comparison would be Jeff's videos from home (Jeff Gerstmann Home Games) where he quickly runs through a bunch of retro arcade and console games. He's able to show off why the games are weird/cool/good/terrible, provide entertaining commentary from personal anecdotes and historical information, and he moves on once he feels he's exhausted the entertainment potential of each game.

You're missing the point. Several users' sole complaint was that "this game is bad, do not show bad games."

Maybe I'm weird, but this game actually looked pretty good, especially at 20 dollars. Ben didn't seem to realise that each time he killed a monster near that door it lost an eye, so he didn't have to solve a puzzle to get past it, just kill the monsters. Actually most of what made the game look bad was that he avoided combat whenever possible, so he was bad at it when he had to do it.

That lady is part of the society from Teslagrad. She has the same clothes/powers. That game is pretty, but the boss fights were really frustrating as you only have one hit. You could actually use that teleport move to skip past the trigger to the final boss and get to the ending.

Not sure what was wrong with the "Grue" enemy type. It's been used many times in different types of games from different companies.

Would love if you could start off the QL by saying witch platform you are playing on, availability and and price. I know it comes later, but it would be nice to have at the start.

Also, as has been discussed in this comment thread, I'm not thrilled by the games that has been QL'd lately. It may be different things, maybe I am loosing interest or outgrowing GB, maybe the games are just not thrilling or maybe the choices of games are just not suited to my taste. I used to devour all QLs, but not anymore. Love the Murders and podcasts though.

Brad's reaction to "Grue" is weird. Lots of fiction uses orcs and no one's batting an eye at that either. Also, Zork isn't the origin of grue, fyi.

Looks like a chill puzzle game I would play at some point. I like the character designs and the flat shaded look of the world.

That was my takeaway as well, in terms of the connection w/Teslagrad. "Not Wendy" totally has the same outfit, dash move, and magnetic floaty power as you have in Teslagrad. Seems to just be a case of the games existing in the same universe, or something like that.
