Definitely didn't expect failed musician Dan "Bony Spirits" Ryckert singing in this QL.

If the game didn't have humans, but just had fat, caped cats playing instruments, I'd buy the game.

This game actually looks great. I've been thinking about getting a 2DS for about a year, might actually pull the trigger soon once I've saved up enough.

Love Yokai Watch. I haven't grabbed this one because I got SMT instead though, and Pokemon is right around the corner. Might end up grabbing it next year.

You know why I'm getting this? Because it's the Jade Cocoon 2 successor we'll never get. That and the first one was pretty good.

I feel like I've been inspirited by a deja vu yokai because this video seems eerily similar to their quick look of the original game. The map has various familiar spots which make me think it might actually be identical, and they definitely got smacked down by a yokai for running across a road last time too...

I hope jaywalking becomes a tradition for Yokai Watch quicklooks. Drew suffered a similar fate during the quick look for the first game.

Hm, this section of the game looks exactly the same as the first one. Other than having some new spirits and cutscenes. I assume that will change as the game continues.

Barely. If you're familiar with the Pokemon series, treat this as a Black 2/White 2 rather than an X or Y.

The 3rd game is closer to what you'd expect from a sequel. Nathan/Keita moves to the US (wonder how they're gonna spin that in the English version...), and there's a different female playable character who stays in Japan. Ironically, it had the worst reception of all Yo-kai Watch games in Japan, despite having the most new content.

I don't know if it was just my headphones, but for about the first minute or so the audio seemed really messed up. I hope they get that fixed.

Based on the eShop demos and a few episodes of the anime I've watched on Netflix, this series is pretty dope.

It also teaches little kids important life lessons. If you jaywalk, YOU'RE GOING TO FUCKING DIE. If you stay out too late after dark, A DEMON WILL HUNT YOU DOWN AND YOU'RE GOING TO FUCKING DIE.

For once I'm glad it won't be out until Spring 2017 in Europe, I barely touched the first game.

Yokai Watch 2 Tips and info!! Cause ya know...why the heck not.

1. You can just walk around the cross walks if you don't wanna obey safety laws and not get attacked.

2. The world map does get bigger in a sense, and the game does open up more.

3. Do every quest you find, main or not. The items you get tend to be worth well more than the money you get from battles.

4. Some Yokai evolve. Not all.

I honestly really like the game series. The battles are a bit slow at first but they pick up pretty fast. Before long you find yourself multitasking to do soultimates and healing and switching and using items like mad. And the game gets harder. Specially post game bosses which there are a ton of.

QL convinced me to check out the first game. Looks great!

Ok so someone needs to make a yokai for someone who will tell you there special screwdriver is in their pants now ... maybe a ghost version of the Subway spokesmen...?

My son is 7 and currently in full on Yokai mode. He beat the first one and is plowing through this one and he plays it while wearing his Model Zero Yokai watch. The marketing beast is alive and well with this one, but I worked with him on some of the harder bosses in part one and it's kind of making me want to play as well.
