Honestly the melee violence in R* games is a little too well-realized for my comfort. I played GTAV in first-person mode, and rolling up on someone with a knife in that game is like... horrific. It is shockingly violent.

I thought Brad had a good idea by naming his horses after Civil War Union generals, so I did the same. Until I named one Shermie and rode her to the end of the game.
