I hate that they did this, because I know by the end of this video I'll think to myself, "man, I just want to spend more time in that world. I'm going to give Red Dead Online another shot." Then I'll download the game, fire up online, complete a mission or two, start to sink into a rhythm and then get kicked from the server. I'll shrug, pop back up at my camp, decide to do some hunting for my trader role and then not find a single animal for twenty solid minutes before the servers drop again. I'll sigh, load the game up one more time and decide to advance the story instead, complete and enjoy the mission I'm on and then get booted back to the main menu as the game tries to reload the open world.

I have a 100mb/s connection and have no issues with any other online game but I've tried to get into Red Dead Online at least four times now and it has always run like horse shit for me.

Crime Crew Prequel

Red Dead Redemption 2 is an incredible game (don't @ me) but I bounced VERY hard off of the multiplayer suite. Just too many hoops to jump through, and playing on PC means that nobody seems to want to do the story missions, which are by far the best content in there. It's all hunting and terrible side-stuff for measly amounts of cash and gold, because the economy is totally fucked and pushes you towards microtransactions. Rockstar learned all the wrong lessons from GTA Online's success. A real shame. :(

Did RDR2 ever fix the extremely complicated and rare edge case of placing your camp? I know it seems silly to ask about, given the well known workaround of starting any mission so you can get instanced away from the overcrowded server and so you can find an open camp, but I'm an optimist!

Really like the new naming for solo streams and cross coast streams. Great start so far for both!

Why not? I enjoyed watching this stream and I'm sure others did too since it was kinda goofy. It sounds like they all enjoy playing this game multiplayer so why not stream it? Abby has streamed RDR2 online from home before and it sounds like Vinny plays it with his siblings so it works well for them to play it since they all know what to do and Jan can learn from them.

This was really fun

I bought a ps 4 pro for this game then I bought it on the pc and I've never made it past like a few hours into providing for the camp

It just is a slog through and through like the game refuses to let you have fun

I've tried I really have but there is just no driving force to wanting to do these mundane things all the time. The worst offender is how you make like no money looting houses and killing people. Like the whole point of the game.

That's my single player review of this I couldn't even imagine the hacky shit show multiplayer this would be o pc in its current state.

All pc games get hacked and online gets ruined. It's made playing online in anything useless once the hackers show up.

Open world Vinny continues to be the best. Also great to see Jan taking part in these shenanigans too, though Brad also joining the rodeo would've been extra fun. Maybe next time?

Oh yeah and side note, I noticed y'all asking why your characters were so sweaty all the time - and it got me thinking about how video games love to turn that slider up to "look good." But I think in this case it may have been influenced by the fact that Air Conditioning wasn't technically invented until 1906. That got me wondering how your characters would cool down indoors - and I stopped thinking about it.

Nice show! Did anything special happen for this Cross Coast show to commence? Like new hardware? Don't you guys usually have to combine audio streams in a way that requires editing?

Man that sucks. I wish I hadn't burnt out on RDR2 before hopping online.

If anybody else with tech advice wants to weigh in, my knee-jerk guess is a router issue such as ports not being allowed data or something.

It blows my mind how many people pay for premium just to bitch about nearly everything GB does constantly. But hey, that's cool, keep funding the folks I love to watch!

Watching the crew play Red Dead Online is a lot more fun then playing Red Dead Online. Pay wall live service games are on the way out I think. I wonder how long it will be before they restructure the economy to get people playing again. Battlefront 2 is actually worth playing now. If EA can do it....

RDR Online is a lot of fun. This combo pairing is a lot of fun. It's casual.

Man, Red Dead 2 even online is such a beautiful game. Absolutely beautiful. The death photos are very well stylized. Some real work went into those.
